Wow this is an olld thread. Clearly 'The Hobbit' is stirring up a lot of LOTR prop interest again. That's good.

My ring is not a Jens Hansen, although I've considered buying one from time to time.

Mine is a licensed Acacia Guiseppe 'One Ring'' from Italy. It's a nice ring, 24 carat gold plated, a lot nicer than many ring replicas (some of which are dreadful) and perfectly adequate for a cabinet or wall display, in my opinion. I did source a different chain for mine as noted earlier in this thread.

The Jens Hansen rings are the best, of course, but it's a lot of money to drop on "so small a thing", unless you want to wear it as a weddig ring or something.

Yes i agree about about the Jens Hansen rings are expensive for such a small little thing. I looked everywhere but i can't seem to find the ring you own. where did you get it? Thanks!

I got mine years ago at the Acacia Guiseppe website. Just checked and they still have a ring on there, not 100% sure it's the same one I have but if it is, it's a bargain for twenty-odd euros!

Whilst we're on the subject, it gives me the chance to show off my latest LOTR precious - a Sideshow premium format Gandalf the Grey 1:4 statue. These are getting harder to find, at least here in the UK, so I was pleased to track down a new and sealed one from a reputable company.

I'm very happy with it, it's an amazing piece in person and it's taken centre stage in my collection already.

The gandalf is cool, but I decide years ago that I dont collect statues or figures... Just props... Wise decision...

But, I hope to have the good ole wizard here in 1:1 someday...


If my Red Book arrives I will make some pics of the collection so far... Just need a barrel for the tobacco and maybe a writing feather like in Montagars display... and the ink with the BB looks like a good idea, too...
