>>Details about the wig<<
There are two.
Childs, and Adults.

I purchased the child size, because I have a smaller head... the fit on the childs is made big for children, so for someone in between it fit perfectly. It also has a lower weight of hair woven into it. $14.99 at my local Halloween store.

The adult wig is pretty large, but has elastic straps to fit a broader range of heads, It has a LOT of hair... it is more along the lines of bozo the clown in terms of shape, you would *definitely* want to thin it out. $19.99

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

Great impression of the Joker. You got the look down pretty good too. I would like to see some more pictures of your rubies wig.I really don't trust anything Rubies makes - and I think I speak for most of everyone here when I say that.

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

I was too caught up in the brilliant impression to notice the wig :cool
great work there Sir!

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

Holy Balls, I actually got chill at the end of that, it stops on a perfect frame.

The video is to grainy and perfect to really see the wig but the fact that it doesnt stick out as a wig is a big credit for it.

Mind blowing impression man, awesome

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

looking great, do you have a link to which rubies joker wig it was?
thanks

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

Lol, thanks guys. I try to keep it interesting :)

sparrowfan, it's just the Rubies' child wig.

(that's what the picture on the front of the box looks like too.... scary right?)

The wig *does* look better in person, although I would point out, I had the ability to pick out the wig I wanted IN THE STORE. You might not be so lucky with an online purchase :unsure

Yours looks a little long in the front, maybe its just me.

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

Yeah dude, that was a fantastic impression. The wig looks not-too-bad, as well!

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

if you dont mind my asking - which store did you buy this at? All I can find is the adult size... and you're right - its just way too thick...

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

Tsuyosa,

It takes a lot to impress me. But damn, I'm really impressed by your Joker impression. Very accurate. Very scary. Most people would be hard pressed to tell that isn't the real deal. Bravo.

The wig looks cool too. I may pick one up.

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

I found both sizes in Newbury Comics up in Boston, so possible it may be in other locations as well.

Nice video! That laugh at the end is hard to nail, but you did!

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig.

Couple more "scene rips" with a better camera...

I really want to start sewing this costume up but my sewing machine is still in limbo :frown

once I get more on this costume done, i'm actually thinking about starting up a youtube to do some more 'ad lib' kind of vids... get requests for 'the joker' to talk about, and what not. What're your thoughts on this?

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig (couple more impression vids)

Your impression is very good. One thing that I think would help you is rather than trying to copy heath exactly, with the same word emphasis, and placement, I think if you try to say the words in the way you talk normally it will help. I don't mean change your voice, because that is sounding great. I just mean the pauses that you have, and our word emphasis generally match up to the movie, but if you make that a little more like you talk, it would make it seem more natural to you. Great job as is, don't get me wrong. Just a little constructive critasism. (y)thumbsup

Re: First Look @ Rubies Joker Wig (couple more impression vids)

thanks mate! Trying to get CnC wherever I can :)
I'm putting together a list of all the other things the joker might have to talk about, or do.

I want to make some funny webisodes with the joker talking on different subjects and what not. It's gonna take a lot of time and practice to really step, not into this characters' shoes.... but to emulate the way Heath did it. So.. yeah, criticism is accepted and very appreciated.
