Amazing work and skills !

I watched the movie yesterday, the googles are very accurate !
Did the front lenses can be pulled up ?

Have you already done some Proton pack ?

Heh! The goggles actually aren't all that accurate. I just tried to capture the essence of them with what was easily available, and inexpensive.

And yes, the front lenses on the green goggles do flip up.

Yes, I have, and I will be posting photos of that in a new thread in a week or so, as I am looking for a job building props, and that will be part of my portfolio.

Updated the links to all the photos so I can keep them all organized in one place on one server, and resized them so as not to break the formatting of the forum.

The trap is almost done, but I won't be doing the finish work on it myself. The buyer wants to paint it. I will however put up some more photos showing it off in its final state before I ship it, as well as video with the circuit installed once I have that done.

WOW! That is some great work, are you an engineer by trade or are you just that good when it comes to making working electronic props? If you are going to be offering any of these for sale I would be interested too!

I got the lenses from Newark. They sell electronic components, and the colored lenses are illuminated switch caps which you can purchase separate from the switches. I hear people use them for their vader costumes as well.

There are two types, one with tabs on the back, and one with a hollow cylinder. The hollow cylinder type is what I used. You can just set the LED in the tube, and the tube itself can be pressed into a hole to keep it in place.

If you just want colored plastic though, you can get small sheets cut to size from Tap Plastics. That was my second choice if the switch cap didn't work out, and it's what I used for the newer PKEs. The old PKEs and the one with the multicolor screen are clear plastic with a projector transparency printed at Staples underneath.
