My first head....well..pred head at least.

Mask appears to have come out well and its always a relief when the mould has done its job correctly. Another fine project coming to its final stages. Well done and looking forward to the paintup.

cheers folks....yes it was a relief that the mold was ok.....it wasn't perfect but it's good enough...there's nothing major wrong with it.
Well I've unfortunetely got the inlaws round today as it is their aninversary....and as a result i've got chores to do ......so he'll have to wait till tommorow.
Thanks again
Lee

Well Esdain....you wont have to wait too long cos here he is....

I ended up painting him by hand as I have either got a really **** airbrush....or i'm just **** at trying to use it lol.
It's not painted very well as i was a bit inpatient and just wanted to get him done so I could see what he looks like.....probably because he is my first....i'll be able to take my time on my next one.
I decided to go with a P1(ish) paintup as it's the one I am more familiar with.
So without further adoo...here he is....complete with home made seamless foam dreads and (quickly knocked up) home made vertebrea dread rings.

Thanks for looking.

Wow, your a fast worker! Thats looks Fantastic, and the dreads/beads are awesome too, Give yourself a pat on the back!

Thanks guys......the paint up wasn't that fast....took me nearly 6 hours in the end.
It's surprising how quick layers can be built up when dry brushing.
Thanks again.

Thanks man....the more i look at it tho...the more i want to just re-paint it.
**** it......I think I will.

Thanks for the comments so far folks.
I don't know, Lee...that paint job looks pretty awesome as is, but hey, it's always fun to do a repaint so....
Mike

No time wasted painted this bad boy. Like the way you've tapered the dark spot from back to front of his crown. Nice work.

Cheers fellas.....too late now tho as i've already base coated him ready for the next finish....still not sure what colours to go for but i was just not happy with the clean cartoony look of this first one.

Wow that is one mean looking Predator. I love it! Those dreadbeads are also excellent. Did you make those yourself?

Absolutely wonderful. And teh pictures on the previous page are very noce quality, and will provide some great reference pics for my upcoming sculpt. Paintjob is awesome. Nice job man

Cheers Scott and Perotech, Glad the pics are of use to someone.
@ Scott...thanks man...Everything you see here I made myself including the dreads, neck ring and the dread rings, although these were just knocked up real quick to see if I could do it....now i know I can I'm going to re-sculpt some more with better detail.

I've re-painted him but am just waiting for some more glue to turn up so I can finish putting his dreads back on, Once I've done that i'll post some more pics.

thanks again
Lee

It looks great for something homemade, definitely high quality. What did you make your braids and beads out of? I'd like to know your opinion, and were you got them from. Once again, stellar job.
