Fantastic sculpt and your first will you be making it in latex and painting it soon as it would be great to see it finished.
Cheers,
Stephen.

Thanks Steven.....I will be making it in latex and painting it......but I dont know about the soon part as it is something I am working on in my spare time which I dont get much of lately.
I'm hoping to get it finished and moulded within the next couple of weeks....which will give me time to think about a colour scheme....and as soon as money permits....I will paint him =)

Well well another pred sculpt, very nice. ;)

slight variation on the pred , which is good not straying too far from a winning formula.

Cheers fellas....I wanted to do something custom but didn't want to stray too far if you know what I mean and I still have to sculpt his proper teeth and tusks.....and I might even sculpt a set of alternative lower manibles.....like a variation of p2s or something.
Thanks again

Must have missed this thread for some reason.
Really like the texture on his crown but a bit unsure about the double tusk on the upper mandible, as it looks a bit redundant to me. Doubt in my mind probably just down to it being unfamiliar. I also appear to be in the minority on this point so please ignore. However it's good to see someone trying something a little bit different without straying from the path too much. I must also applaud your sculpting skills as you're obviously no novice. Please keep us updated with progress.

Thanks Monstermaker and Crawjaw
Opinions vary and everyone is entitled to theirs.....and it's the negative feedback that I appreciate most TBH....I mean dont get me wrong...positive feedback is good too as it confirms that you are on the right path...but it's the negative feedback that might point out something that I have overlooked....I might not agree with some of it....and on this occation I dont ....as his extra tusk is not redundant as he uses it as a bottle opener lol......but sometimes negative feedback can have very positive results.
Thanks for the big up as far as me skills go....but for the record as far as sculpting goes I am still a bit of a novice as I have only been sculpting for about a year as I got made redundant last year and was having trouble finding work for a while........got a bit tetchy as a result and needed something fresh to do to take my mind off of things as my usual escape routes seemed too routine and wern't working as well as they used to.
thanks once again.

Bottle opener, good humour . Just shows you that nothing is redundant on our beloved Predators and kudos to you for sticking to your guns.
Glad you weren't offended with my opinion. Sculpting is so relaxing but frustrating too and fairly takes your mind off **** going on around you. Good luck with the job hunting.

It seems the benifit of a little negative feedback is already paying off .....I was looking at the upper tusks and noticed that the cheeks are attaching to the skin between the tusks and the bridge of his nose.....yes...I know he has no nose but you know what I mean.....rendering his entire upper mandibles redundant ......so needless to say I will be adjusting that as soon as I get the chance.
thanks Crawjaw for making me take another look.

Well I THINK i'm almost ready to start moulding.....
here's a few more pics at different angles with the adjusted cheeks and head ridge...

...and yes...he has his eyes on the ball.....it's the only sprere I could find that was the right size.

thanks again for looking

Thanks guys.....I'm really hoping to get this moulded soon...but i'm a bit skint at the mo.....so it'll have to wait.
