My District 9 inspired Nerf Maverick mod

My first attempt at a conversion...
I created my own water-slide decals for it. I didn't add any canisters and instead thought that the rotating cylinder would be filled with 6 small canisters in the style of D9 so I painted it up that way. The green ooze is a mix of silicone caulk with greens and browns mixed in then coated with future floor wax to keep it looking a bit wet. I used rub n buff for the worn metal but it doesn't really show up that much in the photos. Typical wash of blacks and browns. I made the rubber part of the grip from sprayed on Plasticote.

Hey JMO, great work! I think you really nailed the aesthetic. Any reason not to remove the NERF logos and safety warnings? Other than that, lovely.

Thank you Nicodema! It was my first go at a conversion so I didn't go to all the lengths I should have. More of a learning experience for the painting and weathering so I didn't bother with sanding down all the markings. Next time I will do that and maybe try some add on greeblies etc.
