My custom sonic screwdriver (WIP)

Here are a couple of teaser pics of my sonic screwdriver. I'm going for a combination of classic sonic, combined with new, as well as the concept art and a touch of steampunk. I used the body from the toy, but the rest is all scratch built by me, using aluminum, brass, stainless, and nylon. It's not finished yet, so here are just a couple pics showing SOME of the detail.

Hmmm, you can't see the slider, the extending neck or the end cap details in these pics? Well, maybe on the next ones! :love

I'm not even done yet, or have shown all the details....

I like it (especially the tip). thumbsup Looks like a good mix of the old and new screwdrivers. I second more photos, especially from the side.... The angles right now make it look a bit... stubby :lol

Here she is all finished up! Has a blue LED in the tip and it looks AWESOME! Problem is, it QUIT working when assembled! It's just too difficult to get a good free flowing extending neck with a battery dangling off of the end. I'll try something different on my second version.

Yes, Yes there is XD I got a short list for my steampunk type as well. I actually got a direct commission for one from a gent in the UK as a matter of fact.

Honestly, I don't think anyone out there wouldn't want to own something unique and different. I'd buy one of yours. ^_^
