My custom saber build.

Hi all
so I have a computer card in the clamp(freind who works in electronicsa made it for me) walookingbfor a cap for the bottom end and found a hard drive spindle. I like how it looks but need ideas on how to attach it. Its an 1 and 1/4 inch wide and leaves a gap. So i have to fill about a 1/8 inch gap. Would like to attach this without glue. Any ideas?
heres how it looks now

I'd see if you could find an o-ring. Baring that, very carefully and evenly go around the spindle (which does look awesome) with black electrician's tape. Once the thickness is just right, it might simply fit there no problem.

For best results I'd drill a hole, tap it and hold it in place with a set screw. It sounds daunting, but I just started tapping and it's a lot of fun and super-satisying when it works.

Im thinking of cutting a peice of tubing the same size as the saber body, then cut a small peice from that ring. Squeeze it together then place that in the bottom of the saber. That will take up the gap and fit the endcap tight. Ill post pics when i do this that will explain it better

Nice idea, some people would think that a prop can be known as finished, but we never stop improving do we? Lol.

Well we see what orhers dont. Others will say oh my god that looks great but Ill think well.... Thats a little crooked that part didnt come out how its supposed to... Allways room for Improvement! Lol!

Ok well the Idea I had didnt work out so well. Looks like im using a washer on top of the metal ring iplaced in the end of the saber. Then i will epoxy the hard drive part on the end. We will see

Hi again
ok here it is just about done. Need opinions for a d ring or some kind of belt clip. Also thinking about another button or knob on the underside. Got the hard drive spindle on now and really like how it looks. Had to sand the body again due to scratching when i was working on the endcap.
Pics are upside down.

Cant stop tinkering with this. Added a d ring today. I used a brass lamp knurled screwcap drilled through and found a large dring in my junk box.Drilled out the rivet in my grip and used a buttonhead screw to keep it on. I like this method cause i can unscrew it if I get tired of it. Dont think I will though. Still thinking of some kind of greeblie for rhe underside just below the shroud. I have the black button peices left from a heliand might use that. Any thoughts?
