My custom flashgun saber... (Pic Heavy)

I know i'm a little late but this saber is really awesome! And thats coming from someone that usually thinks hardware sabers are really lame. It looks so good I wish it was in the new star wars movie.

I wouldn't consider this a hardware saber.

Tingjunkie, you might be the RPF'er to fabricate a CanonSaber. Very cool. :thumbsup Great choice of parts.

So what exactly qualifies something as a 'hardware' saber? I always thought it was just another way of referring to found-parts sabers in the spirit of the OT props.

Usually calling it a "hardware" saber would mean that the saber was made using pieces that can be found at a hardware store (ie. Pipes, gaskets, drain fixtures etc.)

It's been really cool to see all the new ones being made lately! Glad I came back to the forum at the right time to see them (thanks TFA!). I can't even begin to calculate the hours I spent searching for "vintage flashgun" on eBay trying to find other candidates for custom sabers. I'm sure there are others out there, but the Canons were my favorites for sure.

I just noticed the caption on your sigpic said and I lol'd. You are the O.G. CanonMan, so it's fitting.

I was focused on Peaks and Heilands for the longest time and ended up missing out on some good potential projects at lower budget.
