My Back to the Future collection [Real Guess jacket P48]

Good luck with this! It will surely make a good base ;)

Thank you. I got this jacket because the alternatives were either ridiculously expensive, or totally inaccurate. It also makes it better in my opinion that it's an actual guess jacket. Other replicas just don't have that "full" look. That's the best I can describe that lol. I'm struggling to source the paisley pattern though. For time and money sake, I only plan on having the paisley pattern on the cuffs and not on the inside.

I got lucky and found this cheap eastpak on ebay. I'm going to remove the red logo patch from the backpack I purchased from Pitbull and replace it with this real orange eastpak patch. Now I don't have to get custom ones made.

Emma it has been too much time since we have emailed!

Before I found the correct pattern jacket I had one of those and liked it better than the more popular (and expensive) close-enough Guess version.

The top half of the sleeve is loose because it's extra layer of fabric over an all blue sleeve. You could get most of the 'look' by just trimming it down to a triangle like the movie jacket. Besides the square pockets I also like how the jacket sleeves are split and have cuffs like in the movie. The close enough Guess jacket does not have this feature.

I had an idea today. A little while ago I posted that I was going to mod a guess jacket that I bought. Like a lot. Then while researching I came up with something better and less expensive. Im thinking of splicing the jacket I bought with another one that I found. The jacket is a light black color and has leather designes for the shoulders and arms. Ill remove the black color with rit dye remover and redye it to the light greyish blue and replace the leather shoulder designs with denim.

It also has inaccurate pockets so Ill use the pockets from the first jacket on the new one. The new one doesnt have the elastic waist so that will be transfered as well. These kinds of things will be done by a tailor. They're both size small so i lucked out on that one. This will all be a learn as I go thing and I don know when I would be able to get to it, but I like thinking up new ideas.

Well good luck on this Mitastouch, make sure to post a picture, I would like to see this :)

I will. This project will probably still cost a pretty penny. The jacket has zippers sewn into the front and i would need for those parts to be removed and repaired at a denim alterations and repair shop. Where ever I start this project I would need to find a shop near by.

This is the other jacket. I just purchased it today. It needs a lot of work but it's the best I could find.
