years ago I made a face huger to go to my work friend Steve,s Halloween party. There are now 2 funny stories to tell.
1 my friend Steve Norington was the guy who made the face hugger mechanism for aliens. Wile shooting the shot of Riply fighting it off in the lad James Cameron (apparently I wasn’t there) pushed Steve alway from the controls to show Steve how he wanted it operating. He wiggled the controls and said to Steve, “these are the most unuser friendly control I’ve ever used,go away and rebuild them.” Steve replied “your the most unuser friendly director I’ve ever worked with, go away and rebuild the yourself. And walked off set.
Later on Steve a James becomes friends after Steve directed Blade.
Now the face hugger I made for the party followed me around as I moved from flat (apartment) to flat share in my early 20s. It was used in meany practical jokes, hidden in cupboard. When eventually it got lost in a move and I forgot all about it for 20 years, until.
Watching an episode of Tested with Propstore and this turn up.
Don’t worry I contacted Propstore and explaining where it actually came from they took it out of the auction.
On the bright side I now have this picture on my wall.
