MR X-Wing

Gawd damn it! :cry

You're telling me.. Im sitting here at work in a private depression. One of my buds just came up and asked what was the matter, because it looks like I just had a death in the family.

I said.. Well, from "certain point of view" thats what I feel like!:cry

Well, Ive been slacking off on getting my salzo model painted up and finished, so this is the inspiration.

A bunch of contributors each sacrificed hundreds of dollars worth of donor kits to get the proto done, too.

"we really tried".

There is no try! LOL

Gone with the wind. I wonder if anyone else will pick up the licensing and attempt this kind of stuff again?

Why oh WHY did they do Snowspeedres and Y-wings BEFORE an X-wing?

I dont get that.

I think it had something to do with code 3. There was talk of Code 3 and MR trying to stay away from eachother's releases, early on. That may be part of the reason it took MR a little while to come back to the X. (and the Mil.F for that matter)

Hopefully they didn't make a deal to get an X-Wing for all of their bits and bobs. Maybe they can buy a Falcon that they probably already have for $500 less?

Ouch.

Boy...if I paid full boat price for the Falcon, I'd be pissed.

Yeah, me too - thank god I didn't.

I bet they'll go even lower in December when MR has to sell all their remaining SW stuff. They can't sell any SW products past the end of the calendar year, right? I bet there will be one hell of a sale.

Actually, that brings up an interesting point. When the license (or licence) expires, can they still sell their remaining stock? We know they can't manufacture anything else after the expiration (and that's what likely led to the cancelling of da X), but what if they have a warehouse full of lightsabers/blasters/Falcons, etc? Can they sell them? Can they advertise them? Or do they have to unload them to a reseller beforehand and let them sell them?

I believe I read that they have to sell off their stock by March 31, 2008. The end-of-the-year date was the last date they could offer new product, IIRC.

Shouldn't this be the cue to put the "hero X kit" back into circulation??? Who the heck do I contact for that???? Please PM me info about the X-hero kit..........anyone!!!!

Dave :(

I said when Corgi bought this company it would spell the end. The loss of the SW liscence was just the start.
