MR TOS Enterprise - new pics

Sure glad I waited until they were shipping to decide to get one.

I might buy one if I can see it first. But I am not rolling those dice for $1200.

Maybe I should just build an 11 footer, like I've been thinking about.

You would probably be the first. Amazing nobody has tried yet.

MR web page now says shipping in Spring 07.[/b]
From Wikipedia, "Spring (season)":

Astronomically, some Western countries consider spring to begin with the spring equinox (around March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere, and September 23 in the Southern Hemisphere), and ends with the summer solstice (around June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere and December 21 in the Southern Hemisphere). Such conventions are by no means universal, however. In Chinese astronomy, for example, the vernal equinox instead marks the middle of spring, which begins around the time of Lichun (around February 4). In the Irish Calendar it is counted as the whole months of February, March and April. In meteorology, it is (also by convention) instead counted as the whole months of March, April, and May in the Northern Hemisphere and September, October, and November in the Southern Hemisphere.[/b]
So depending on MR's calendar, it could be as early as tomorrow and as late as the third week of June. :confused

Time I got. Hopefully it means the production run quality will improve.[/b]
I absolutely agree. I would much rather have it right than fast.

I hope that MR will post something confirming that the delay reflects their plan to correct the errors we've been seeing with such maddening frequency. :unsure

My feelings exactly. MR needs to make sure these are near perfect for the price. Delays are a good thing in this case.

SPRING?.?.. Well, more time to save for it.
[/b]

A more enviable place to be then where I am now.
I just payed my CC bill and do not even possess the item anymore and have no idea when the replacement will come.

That really stinks. Anyway to just ask for a full refund and then just reorder it later?

"Available to ship week of: immediately (please allow 48 hours to process) "

Just got my shipping notice, too. Ironic, in light of my post yesterday. I guess MR is on the Irish calendar. :p

Yeah. I wouldn't have minded waiting longer. It would have given me more time to rebound from the Falcon. And maybe the later Enterprises will be better finished.

Like all of you, I hope that more time will mean a more refined product, but I have to say I'm a little less optimstic than some that that will in fact happen.

I'm just thinking that if they improve the run now, they're just going to piss off everyone who has one in hand (or who is about to) that much more. And since the signature editions went out first, it will mean that the very most expensive ships would be of the poorest quality.

I'm not sure that's a business decision I would make if I were MR unless they are prepared to take back 400 or more ships MONTHS after delivery.

I'm hoping fo good things, but I'm sober...

BTW, My order got r-classified from "Processing" to "Ordered/PreOrdered" too. Perfect end to a perfect MR week. After checking every day hoping to see the status change from "Processing" to "Shipped", mine goes in the opposite direction. Couldn't be happier :angry :angry :angry .

I have no problem with getting one soon. If it's bad, it goes back for either a replacement or more likely a refund. I will be looking over mine with flood lights and a big magnifying lens. ;)

This was posted by Amy of Master Replicas on their forum yesterday:

Hi Everyone,

I am looking into trying to find out what happened with the shipmnet of the LE Enterprises. This is what I know so far:

From what I understand, our shipping company has given us wrong information. They told us that we had 130 LE Enterprises on the water and were going to arrive on the 18th. We know that didn't happen so they moved the date to the 26th. The Enterprises were delivered and are now at our fulfillment center however we were given wrong information again. Only 49 of the Enterprises were LEs, the rest were SEs. We had let 130 people know their order was on the water but in reality we only got 49 so that is what is shipping out. That is why some of you got moved back into the preordered stage. I don't know when the next batch is expected to arrive. That is what I trying to find out.

We are very, very sorry about the delay. This is our fault, I am not trying to pass blame on our shipping company, just trying to be truthful and explain what happened. As soon as I have some date information I will let you know.

Again, please accept our apologies for the delay and any inconvenience this has caused.

My order was also moved from processing to ordered/preordered.

Well, at least that confirms one thing we were wondering about: the plaques are married with the ships overseas.
