MR Snowspeeder

Heya guys,

I have read a lot of threads, and seen a lot of photos of RPF members who have modified their MR Snowspeeders and they all look FANTASTIC.

However, I have only seen the MR photos (from the website) of the original snowspeeder. These photos don't seem to do it too much justice, and I assume the photos of the prototype might not reflect the finished product.

I am thinking of getting one for the collection however find it difficult to actually find detailed photos of the original MR snowspeeder.

Could RPF members who have the original un-modified MR Snowspeeder, please post detailed pictures of the item as this will greatly assist me in determining wheter to spend the $500+ on it.

Thanks in advance guys,
Tez

Heya guys,

Thanks for the posts.

I just received mine today and was blown away by the quality of it.

The paint job on it is awesome.

One question though for those that have one, with mine, the left front laser turrent is a bit loose - is this normal? It doesn't move around at all but when you touch it, it slightly moves. The right protruding laser turrent is pretty firm. I'm not sure if I'm meant to tighten the left one or not and don't want to break it if I play with it. Does any one else have / had an issue like this?

Sorry, it might seem like a silly query, however I'm not really 'handy' at fixing replica's, and don't want to accidently break it, especially after unpacking it, by trying to tighten the laser turrent that isn't meant to move lol.

Thanks in advance guys.

I received mine from Santawife. The paint job is very nice and Im not sure if more detail is needed or not. I would like to add figures to it someday. By the way, I just received the figures for my MR Falcon. And WOW.

Enjoy your Speeder. Mine is resting is the box, same as the Falcon until we move.

Heya guys,

Anyone get their MR speeder and have a slightly loose laser turret also?

Cheers

Yes! Out of 4 models or 8 main guns, one was loose (with a little play) and 2 were broken away. One could be re-glued quite well. If you do not know it, you will not notice it. The worst one does need some filling. I will do that, before I repaint the model with red stripes.

I had the impression that when packing the models, it happens from time to time that the protecting paper gets under tension. The resulting force on the main gun can break it loose. According to a retailer, he had quite some complaints about that.

If your laser turrets sits in the correct position when the model is displayed, I would not mind at all.
