anyone know exatly what KIND of metal this is? It cant be solid brass...

I *think* it's brass but it's not "solid" per se... the areas where it appears to be thick, it's just bent around so that it has the appearance of thickness. It's actually less than a millimeter thick metal sheet. The fin is hollow as well so I think it's just shaped brass sheet... or maybe they used some kind of brass alloy. To my knowledge, they've never said specifically if it's not brass or if there is another metal added to it.

Ordered mine in the last hour they were up and it was delivered yesterday. Of course I wasnt home so I didn't get to open it yet.

Me too, I ordered at a few minutes before they marked them sold out! But I'm still Ordered/Pre-Ordered on the status screen. *gulp!*

Haven't heard anything yet...

could they tell you why or wtf that meant? Thats no more than you can find out yourself by viewing status.

i asked the same thing in an email and they guiy said it takes 3 days to process and should go early this week, well its been 6 days including sat and sun...still says order/preorder, and i ordered during the last sale a few hours before it sold out. This makes no sense...

they gave me the number to the corporate office, i wanted to talk to Amy, but shes out of town at Comic Con !!!!!!!!!
so i left a message on her voicemail....

one person i talked to in CS told me that it would be THE END of the summer before itd be back in stock!?!?!?! WTF?

How can something be sold out and then be restocked?:unsure Did they find another hidden amount?

It took a week for an order confirmation and shipping info on my helmet. I ordered it on the Wed it was on sale, some people who ordered at the same time got their helmets before I even received the confirmation... :confused My helmet SHOULD have been delivered today, hopefully someone was at home when they attempted delivery... that's one thing I don't like about DHL, signature confirmation, you know some people DO work during the day and can't have some items shipped to their workplace. If I'm paying for shipping, as a customer I'd like the choice to pick which carrier to use! BUT that's a whole 'nother rant.

So who knows...

:cool My helmet arrived today and it's AWESOME, SUCH a friggen steal at that price! It appears mine had been opened and looked at, but I don't see any scratches or problems like mentioned above! And thanks to my small noggin, it fits without stretching it, however I still plan on opening it up a bit, fix the chin strap, adding a bit more tinting on the lenses, and add a little more padding inside.. And it's not THAT heavy to wear.

I'm in the same boat, and I'm downright pissed off about it.

What kills me is that we are relocating in a week or so and I fully assumed this thing - which stated it was IN STOCK - would be here long before that.

I'm about to call them up and cancel my order. As usual MR -and- their customer service is a freaking JOKE.

Mine arrived yesterday after 3 days in DHL's local warehouse. Got hit with some tax stuff but thats to be expected 'sometimes' up North. The helm is in seemingly perfect condition! It fits my head but I do find it 'back-heavy' but that could easily be taken care of with a little padding in the back neck area. All in all a beautiful helmet for an amazing price!
