MR has rocketeer helmet for $179 (sold out)

Received my helmet today! From Hong Kong of all places... It had obviously been repackaged...

Luckily, there aren't any major defects (although the stand does have a couple dings).

While I'm kind of annoyed that MR didn't mention that most (if not all) of the discount helmets were 'returns', it's definitely worth the lowered price. :thumbsup

I watched the movie for the first time in years. It's really fun! And yes, my new helm was right at my side.

Oh, what's up with the red warning tag!? "DO NOT PUT ON YOUR HEAD" Ha! I had it on within seconds of opening the boxes. True, it nearly ripped my ears off. But after using the affore-mentioned "stick your foot in it and pull" method, it fits pretty nicely! And I've got a BIG noggin.

I've been put on hold more then I can handle. I'll just wait till my order shows now lol.

I just got my helmet today. Its not smashed as far as size which was a plus, also the base is mint. I love the slip cover art!! I might just get a frame for that. Looks like I remember from when I was a kid and that its metal!!

However, one of the eye glass lense has a bubble in it but I over looked that. What I can't over look is the fin has gaps in the weld. One gap in the front of the helmet ( with I can fill with epoxy if needed) its a simple hide....

But what worries me is its cracked around the whole back side of the fin where the welds come together. I can move the rear of the fin some so I don't want to chance trying to move it because it is welded so its not just going to fall off. The fin is not centered almost bent looking as though it was done to correct the error looking from the top view and standing back looking at the back of the helmet. Its copper plated because some of the plate is off that or it was over heated and forced the copper up to the surface.


Over all its good but Im PMing Amy. 2 weeks wait, lost helmet, phone call after phone call and it looks like factory seconds.

I got mine, Service was ok, helmet has its problems. Just wished I had gotten more help after getting a defective item.
