MR announcement on SPEC OPS helmet

I believe MR has stated several times that this sticker:

mr%20Specops%20label.JPG

Has been duplicated on more than one helmet. Otherwise, YES, obviously is would be that easy to redeem the sticker for a new plaque. I can't honestly believe everyone there sits around saying "what's the easiest way out of this?"

MR has an obligation to protect the integrity of the LE #'s - since any duplication of plaque #'s could possibly result in the loss of license, I can see why they can't risk that. All things being equal, don't you think if it was just a case of "let's print up new plaques" they would do that? I know it doesn't seem like it, but I would assume they're doing this to protect their customer's investments - not because they're "lazy."

Seems simple to me, refund, or the helmet I ordered with a plaque that reads 1 of 750. Sure, we'd all like a specifically numbered plaque, but I personally don't care if it's says 1 of 750, or 217 of 750. I'm getting a helmet. I'm getting a plaque. And yes, I know I'm speaking for myself.

I have not received a product from MR that had the label not match the plaque number on the inside. Has anyone else? I mean that seriously.

If it just happens to be that there are duplicates only on this helmet, the problem is greater than I thought.

Also, I understand how MR wants to protect the owners who received plaques. That is all fine and dandy, but what about those who did not receive them? Whether we all admit it or not, we see lower-number sabers, helmets, etc. going on eBay for more money than higher-numbered ones. Does that necessarily mean they were made in that order? No, but, people like to receive the lower numbers anyway.

Personally, I do not buy MR's stuff to turn around and sell it, but others may eventually need the money, and thus, will offload it on eBay. If they received a helmet with the sticker of 15 but no plaque, do you think that the helmet would sell for the same amount as a helmet with the #15 plaque? Maybe on the RPF it wouldn't matter, but to the general buying public that covets the lower number, it would matter. So, in this scenario, how is MR protecting the investment of the owners?

Just my $.02

Sorry, I meant owners of their products in general - not these helmets specifically.

I wonder who prints those stickers on the sides of the boxes - they've gotten it right so far - I just don't see how they could have screwed it up...

Hi MRCUSTOMERCARE (AMY)

Using an image of a saint being burnt at the stake as your avatar is tasteless, if that's what you perceive yourself to be, I pity you.

MR has an obligation to satisfy their customers, FULL STOP...

I assume the avatar has something to do with one of your previous comments on this subject..."Before all the pitchforks start coming out " Maybe it's a witch in your avatar?

Well, you AND the company you work for SHOULD satisfy your customers orders.

If, because you have been questioned over the absolute disregard from MR to it's deserving customers requests as being burned at the stake, well, it goes to show that MR THINKS it has done nothing wrong, what a croc...

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM MR AGAIN...

The fact that you've used this avatar as, you, yourself being burned at the stake (Let's face it, that's exactly why you used it) you need to step back and see that what has been requested IS NOT unreasonable. They're asking for what they paid for... or, at least, give a sizeable reimbursement...

If you don't deliver, don't be surprised if your customer base drops sharply.

I'm disappointed in you Amy and MR, as said earlier, you will not get my hard earned dollars again.

Disappointingly yours,

Kraig

BTW, I'm not religious, hate to think how I'd feel if I was. I assume that by the time most readers see this your avatar will be different, for them to wonder "what the hell's he talking about?", well I saved it, if infact, it is Joan of Ark in the pic.

I would like to make a sincere apology to Amy (MRCUSTOMERCARE) in regard to the post I made (see above) about her avatar. It has been made clear to me that it's been MRCUSTOMERCARE's avatar for a long time, I never noticed it before.

When I did notice it, I jumped to conclusions (see above post again) man I wish I had noticed it in earlier threads.

So........

Amy, I'm VERY sorry, it was my STUPID mistake.

Regards,

Kraig

You guys should just have Toby or Roman make replica plaques for you with the correct # on them. Problem solved.

Your not helping Gytheran :p

Ok, am I the only one that ordered a Shock and hasn't heard anything from MR about it? I mean we're now officially into 11 months from when the piece was originally ordered. Is it only the Spec Ops that are having these issues or are the rest of the helmets as well?? I have seen posts of other people receiving their Shock helmets already, and I thought I had ordered it very quickly as well, but now I'm wondering if it even mattered when I ordered it....
Also having to sit on hold with the funds is starting to bug me as well. It's not the issue of the funds itself, as I can cover them without any problems, it's just the fact that I have to remember to keep them allocated for this item for as long as I have had to..... ok let me rephrase that, it's the fact that my wife keeps reminding me about it and asking why it's taking so long, hehe.

Amy, this question is really asked to whomever is in charge of Marketing and Sales there at MR...

Why, in God's green earth would you offer something for sale that one, you didn't actually have on hand to sell, and two, that you knew was having issues in production? I know that "Speculative Selling" is the "in" thing right now, but it really points to a poor business model if it's done as a consistant business practice. Thats what questionaires and market polls are for.

As others have said I would suggest that you only sell what you have ON HAND rather than make your customers wait for this long for a product, especially one that many people have said is sub-par.

Another way to look at it is if Joe Schmoe Co. had made their customers wait for this long after purchasing something, wouldn't we all be upset about it?? (and to be technical, while the funds haven't actually been sent to MR's bank account, they have had the funds for the helmet tied up in my account for this long now so I might as well had sent the funds in the begining... )

I think I have you beat... slightly.

Not only have I been waiting for the shocktrooper helmet, but a few days ago I received an e-mail saying it was to ship the week of the 27th(this week).

... only to receive another email letting me know the previous e-mail was sent in error and the helmets are not really ready to ship.

So if they're not ready to ship, why the hell have some been sent out already???

Is MR even handling the shipping themselves?????

You shouldn't be complaining at all, you got your Spec Ops helmet with a numbered plaque, so i'm sure you can wait a bit longer for your Shocktrooper :p

Just Kidding.... I'm suprised, cause I received my Shock Trooper a couple of weeks ago after the long delay in shipment... I wonder if they are having more problems than normal

muahahaha. :lol

On a more up-beat note... MR sure knows how to keep long-term customers happy.
