Movie Deadpool costume!!

UPDATE: So, Where to start. It's been a loooong time since I've posted and as I said before I was waiting in like for BlackKaos' mask face-shell and that was going to be my starting point. Thanks to yepimazombie Who was kind enough to sell his to me (One of only three sold if im not mistaken) I now have the coveted Face-shell. WOOT. Pics follow,

Next I need to start experimenting with eye covers and see if I can figure out something I like. after that It's fabric fabric time and time to figure out how to put the mask together. I'll be buying fabric by the first at the latest. Need to get another paycheck in so I can afford it. See below for pics of the shell that needs a bit of sanding and some rough edges ground down but fits like a glove.

[UPDATE]Sooo, Just for the time being I did up the eyes with expanded metal inlay painted white. I'm a fan of this look but it's not "Screen accurate" and that's overall my goal so I don't know if I will keep them that way so I didn't glue them in. Also just ordered the fabric at a stupidly overpriced retailer but oh well, Hopefully three yards is going to be enough, I'll start mask construction soon and keep you all up to date.

[UPDATE] Don't know if anyone is still following my progress on this build but I'll keep posting,

I did a bit of research from other threads and found people having issues with the fabric reference I found, and I'll be returning my order of it as soon as I get it. I have however, possibly found another (heres to hoping) better fabric. I'm ordering a swatch and I'll post it when I get it if its worth mentioning. Its 95% polyester 5% lycra red 4way stretch and has a pattern on it. I''m not getting my hopes up too high, But I'm starting to think my first conclusion of the suit being made of lycra leatheret is correct. Will be looking at the Redband trailer a lot over the next few days and trying to find the best high res "Set pics" I can, I'll keep you guys posted. (If anyone is out there.)
 
[UPDATE] Well... I think that seals it. Directly from the footage from the trailer it's clearly a perforated Red fabric. Will post more

Or a print to look "Carbon fiber"ish?

Great find sp1derman
The problem with some polyester fabrics is that they can be more delicate and prone to "picked" threads.. I believe that the sports spandex mesh fabric could have the best potential using some backing fabric like you mentioned.
 
I'm just gonna say. I'm pretty positive this is preferred leather spandex. I'm researching methods of pereration and hoping to find what I'm looking for. Also, I've seen a lot of carbon fiber that looks really similar to this wondering if there is such things as a spandex carbon fiber?

There isn't. Unfortunately when I was looking into making a daredevil costumeI spent ages the closets I can find is a women's snakeprint catsuit which looks more like carbon fibre then snake print

Damn. I wonder if Fabric on Demand could print their spandex with a carbon fiber look without the color and detail getting messed up
 
Im gonna run some experiment prints with FOD maybe they can print something that's close? Im also trying to find perforating companies to maybe do some perforation of red pleather spandex.
 
I'm still following your progress! It's been a week or so since I've been on here though. I'm STILL waiting to get my suit back from this woman that's supposed to be doing some minor alterations. She's dragging her feet and it's really annoying.

I like the fabric you've found! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hawkeye's suit looks like the same material as the Cap's, I think they are all using a super secret fabric for all of these movie costumes and we will never get to see any. I'm going to put tinfoil on my head now........
