Hey there UA - I don't have a mk6 but a am interested in learning the electro-mechanics of it. I am a "noob" and there is so much that i don't know. So i find my self surfing through the threads & posts. I'm trying to build a patriot, so any info related could'nt hurt. So yes i am interested... GM

Very interested! Working on a MK 7 and been toying around with this on paper.

I am glad people are interested. All I can show right now is my helmet: I have already removed each piece based on the gif (the top, faceplate, chin and ears)
I will try to post the mechanism and electronics over the weekend. (Dont get discouraged I have everything figured out and all the materials, but I also have a lot of school work)
Meanwhile enjoy some Iron Chihuahua :lol

that be cool but remember thats movie magic, just doesnt seem possible to fit all the mechanisms to do that with your head in there and without losing some hair or looking like a bobblehead but goodluck and awesome idea:)

Here is the mechanism I came up with, (it goes on both sides of the helmet) it is really quite simple. If you need further explanation just ask. I will try to post the electronics part tomorrow.
Even if the picture looks big everything I am using is quite small.
