Mondo Posters & General Poster Art Prints discussion

will they even be for sale online? the way it sounded to me was its a one off showing of the movie, with the poster only available at the showing, similar to the mondo mystery movie akira. which is ridiculously high online.i cant imagine army of darkness going for much less.

It really depends. Last time they did a Mystery Movie event in Kansas City, posters were available online afterwards. Mondo hasn't released any info on the poster yet, we don't even know what the edition size is going to be. The poster for Mondo's Mystery Movie event for "Dawn of the Dead" had an edition of 750, so I was easily able to snag one. The main reason Stout's "Akira" posters go for so much is because the edition was extremely tiny, only 180. Had they printed 750 - 800 of them, like they did for Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, they'd probably be going for 300 to 400 bucks, not 1200 to 1400.

So, in short, we won't really know how likely it is we'll be able to nab a print until we know the edition size.

The tickets to the event sold out in 22 seconds so I doubt the will be to many left over that go up for sale.

Again, it depends on the edition size. From what I understand, less than 400 tickets were available for the event in Kansas City. Seeing as there's a strict "one poster per ticket-holder" policy, if the poster edition is 800, and every single person at the event purchases a poster, they'll still have 400 to sell online.

Even now, Ken Taylors Dawn of the Dead prints can be purchased for a reasonable price off Expresso Beans. If the print is good, I have no problem purchasing it on the secondary market.

I have all 3 variants of Rhys Coopers GI Joe prints but I'm actually considering selling them and buying the Warriors print instead........so long as its still available.

You mean Jeff Proctor? His "Dawn" print is the one I have. Did Taylor do one too, and I totally missed it?!

It's pretty cool, but honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. Still a very awesome piece of work.

Sweet...congrats aeonpulse. You're one of the luckiest guys I know when it comes to scoring Mondo goodies :cool.

Hahah, apparently so! I was thinking the same thing after discovering I'd received a pink pressing.

Does anyone know if Mondo are releasing the Oblivion soundtrack on vinyl? I heard rumors they were, and if so, I hope it won't be an ultra limited sold-out-in-seconds release.
