Mondo Posters & General Poster Art Prints discussion

Sorry to hear about your experience wuher da brewer, that's pretty ridiculous.

As for the posters themselves, there were a couple I really liked, but nothing that I absolutely had to have. This event wasn't the screenprint collector's wet dream that I was expecting. Still some great stuff though.

Well my wife is a Huge Drive fan so I am probably going to pick one of them up on the Bay just so she doesnt kill me for not getting it!

Yeah, I really do love the Drive one, but that's going to be a tough one to nab. If they have any left over for online sale, it won't be very many. They're going to sell out in a matter of nanoseconds!

I'm going to go for one, but I'm not holding my breath!

also, I still have no idea which one I should go after, they're both so great!

Yeah its up to her, I am just gonna go ebay so I dont have to be let down by the sold out before it even goes on sale lol! I do love both BUT she gets to pick

Well, just don't forget about the Expressobeans forum. You'll almost always find a better price there than you would on eBay.

Don't forget that Tyler will probably have a few that he'll do the email lottery for. I thought for sure that all the Django prints had sold out during the oscars but obviously he had some for sale on his site.

Those drive ones are pretty swanky. I also really dug Ken Taylor's Watchmen print.

I always try to find something unique for gifts. I don't care to get token gifts for birthdays or Christmas. Sometimes I completely skip someone's birthday just so months later, when I find the perfect gift, they are truly surprised when I give it to them. This year, I bought my mom a print from the Product Placement Art show. It was the Tin Man Oil print. She's a big fan of the Wizard of Oz. In the years past, I got her a pair of Ruby Slippers, I made her a Wicked Witch broom, and a flying sock monkey.

The print , along with a few for myself, came today. I told her I bough her something, and when I finally showed it to her, she couldn't get over it. She was really happy with it.

Very cool. :). Just looked it up again and as an Oz in-universe reference piece it's quite unique, which she as a big fan would appreciate even more.

Nice, I too do that sometimes with few of my friends.

This arrived today. So glad to have it in my collection. I still find I like the look of the regular version better though.

Does anyone know what the edition size is of the Drive LP that's coming out today?

Since there's no limit to how many you can buy, that makes me think it might be pretty large, but it'll also probably go faster :(

Yeah, I'm a little confused about the edition size as well. Are you sure that Mondo is allowing people to buy multiple copies? Because that sounds pretty strange, and I don't recall Mondo doing that for anything before, I certainly can't see them doing it for such a popular release. I certainly hope there is a limit, otherwise some flipper is just going to buy all of them and immediately put them up on eBay for 200 bucks.

Huh, they must have pressed a TON of them though, I'm thinking a couple thousand, if they're willing to let people order as many as they want.

I'm sure you won't have any issues just getting one for yourself. I guess we'll find out in about an hour or so.
