Modifying a UHC/Tombraider Airsoft gun

I was wanting to remove the flash-hider and cut the barrel down to the be the correct size for the regular HK replica. Has anyone cut the barrel down? I was wondering how it would effect the shooting and if the metal inside barrel would wobble inside the black barrel? I am not sure if the black barrel is thick so the metal barrel fits snug, or if it is just finished off at the end.

Thanks

I did what you're saying and it worked out fine. It won't affect the guns ability to fire, and, unless you use the gun as a serious airsoft piece, any FPS reduction from the decline in barrel length will be negligible if anything.

What I did on mine was remove the front compensator by taking out the two screws that hold it on. Then I removed the extended/threaded outer barrel by tapping it off where it's connected to the main outer barrel (it's glued to the rest of the outer barrel). And, finally, I used a hacksaw to cut the exposed inner barrel to proper length. The inner barrel isn't snug with the outer, but there isn't any barrel wobble to worry about as it's close enough to hold without a problem.

Just did it and it worked great. I just didn't want to screw up the barrel, shoots fine :D Looks more real now, The Tomb Raider version just got to where I thought it looked fake/toyish

Thanks for the reply
