It's a Series 2A Land-Rover, they're not rare over here, they can still be found in hedges all over the UK. Admittedly it was mostly red when I bought it, and grotty, but it is 44 years old (Feb 1969 built). It's almost finished, I need to change the wheels to original spec and add a lining, and add brackets for my SMG. I have the UNIT stickers for the doors too
Land Rover built over a million Series Land Rovers (4 million sold by 2007) and the majority are still on the road allegedly. I bought mine in a shabby state last year for £1000 ($1500) and spent another £1000 to get it through its annual inspection (MOT), and a further £500 on odds and ends since. It currently has grey cloth seats which I hope to replace with black vinyl. I have 4 new, correct rim tyres to put on it as well. The engine is a 2.8TD Isuzu, unusual in a UK vehicle, but apparently standard for the Australian market. It has 4 gears and an overdrive. Some pics (green are recent):
