metal re-fit parts for korben dallas?

i purchased my korben dallas gun from a member here, a beautiful prop with slightly goofy electronics. i went over the dissasemble directions here and found the number counter switch was loose, the glue was gone, so before i get back to finishing it up, has anyone actually did the metal parts for it? the barrel and barrel plate and so on? id be interested in seeing and buying these... also i heard mention of an electronics upgrade for this? anyone hear more?

There was a thread a while back, discussing the ins and outs of the HCG KD blaster when it was first released, and there was talk of replacement metal parts, however i dont think anyone got around to producing them, i may be wrong.
It also detailed electronics fixes.
