Galaxy’s Edge will also see a new addition to the popular Lightsaber building experience at Savi’s Workshop. Guests will now have the chance to “build their own Lightsabers from scraps that have been scavenged by different pirates throughout the galaxy and made their way to Batuu.”

Savi’s Workshop will even be debuting a brand-new storyline called “Reclaimed and Reforged,” beginning May 4th for a limited time. During the experience, guests will build their Lightsabers from scraps scavenged by pirates throughout the galaxy.

Everything I read so far says this is limited to Disneyland in conjunction to their Star Wars nights event.

These Star Wars night happened last year too. It is a month long celebration in conjunction with May the 4th but they are upping the events and attractions this time around.

From what people who know say, the reason you see these things at Disneyland is that the core of their customers are repeat visitors so they need to continually offer new things to bring them back. Whereas the core customers at WDW is new and not as frequent returning customers. So they do not have to rely on continuous event changes to bring people in. Not sure I explained that well but hopefully you get the gist.

That is my understanding as well. There’s a push to bring locals into Land with varying events and offerings, whereas as World does not have any issue bringing a local base into the Disney bubble.

The new Savi's pieces are being released as part of "Season of the Force" which encompasses but is distinct from the separately ticketed "Star Wars Nites" event nights. Anyone who visits Disneyland during the season can build with the new pieces, even if they aren't paying to go to the after hours party.

I'm still surprised they havent announced any Acolyte sabers yet given theyre designed to be Galaxys Edge in size.
