Got my res for June 4th. Gonna be nuts.

I'm going to WDW in October and they just announced 6am to 9am extra magic hours every day for Hollywood Studios for September and October...wonder how much before 6 people will be lining up to get in.

I live 15 min away from Hollywood studios but I went ahead and made an Aug28 reservation at the Disney Boardwalk villas which is located in between Epcot and HS...its a 10 minute walk to the front gate of HS.
Gonna see if I can get to the front gate at 5:00 or 5:30. (Ugggh)
Dont think the main parking lot for HS will open before 6am which means as a hotel
Guest Ill have an advantage of walking there and simply camping at their front gate before the main parking lot allows guests in.
Ill have to find out exactly time the main HS lot opens though.

That’s awesome. I have a friend who booked Boardwalk for that weekend too. I tried to rent points for there for my trip, but nothing was available at the time so I’m at Old Key West.

I’m getting old buddy lol. I have only been to Disney twice, 2002 and 2004. My friends family is there a lot!! Every 3 months they go there

We were there for New Years where the park hit max population.. incredible. Like nothing I’ve seen in my life, when walking the streets in some areas (especially the haunted mansion section) we were shoulder to shoulder.. literally. All I could think about was if there was a emergency people were gonna get trampled

I can’t imagine opening weekend

That's pretty much what the experience is going to be the entire summer.

Me and the wife will be there in February. It should be a night and day difference since kids down there are in school at that time.

In the late 90's i was in Paris. We were seeing the Pope at (i'm probably going butcher this or get it wrong) Longchamps (?) a horse racing track i think. Packed to the gills. Well over 1M people in there who were camping out the night. I couldn't take it. I lasted from about 5PM to around 11PM and left. No space at all. None. Tighter than shoulder to shoulder. That's when i discovered the city of lights turns them off at midnight (that's another story)...no desire to repeat anything like that ever again. I can't imagine that current egress and fire safety laws would allow a capacity of what i went through there.

I just read over on Disney and more that you have a 4 hour time limit in the land before being escorted out by Apple quacks (I'm mean storm troopers).

How will they know? Are tickets RFID stamped or something where they can monitor your location?

I'm guessing since they are reservations, that everyone in Galaxy's Edge at a particular 4 hour time frame shares the same 4 hour time frame. So they will probably clear out the area before the next group goes in. I'm thinking that those within the groups have set times in which to ride the attractions in order to spread it out equally and also probably one get to ride each attraction once. That's just my guess. But whatever the system, Disney is very good about planning so I trust their process.

My reservation is for a 4 hour slot. When you make it they give you several slots to choose from. I anticipate they will clear every 4 hours. Still can’t wait!!!

So I spotted sabers from Clone Wars and Rebels, but not Dooku's? Has any pic so far included Dooku's saber because I have not seen that one yet.

I'm going to WDW in September and purchased my park ticket already.......can't wait for this!!!

Custom Lightsaber build prices have been announced at Galaxys Edge
May 21, 2019
Savi’s Workshop at Batuu (Galaxy’s Edge) is the place to be to get your very own customised lightsaber for $199.99 plus tax.
Travel to Black Spire Outpost, where a group known as the “Gatherers” ushers you into a covert workshop packed with unusual parts, whimsical pieces and miscellaneous memorabilia collected from the far reaches of the galaxy.
Under their guidance, you can construct your very own lightsaber and bring it to life through the power of kyber crystals. Builders beware—you must protect the shop’s secrecy to avoid being discovered by the First Order!
$199.99 is a lot of cash but you are promised a quality item and a whole load of adventures and experience to come with it.
The Gatherers will now help you select the heart of your lightsaber—the kyber crystal, which is available in red, blue, green or violet.
Next, begin assembling your hilt—parts will be provided based on your theme and cloisonné pin. Each box of parts includes:
1 hilt
4 sleeves (pick 2)
2 emitters (pick 1)
2 pommel caps (pick 1)
2 sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set)
Upon hilt completion, the unused parts will be collected by the Gatherers and returned to Savi’s inventory. These are not included with your lightsaber package.
Finally, the Gatherers will masterfully connect your hilt to a 36” lightsaber blade so you’re ready for anything the galaxy puts in your path!
