Men in Black 3- 2012 Standard Issue (CANCELED)

Interesting, and two other sellers have it too, maybe they are the first seller who got it.

They must either be preorders OR they are selling the MiB 1 version and don't realize there is a difference...

I mean, if they were getting ready for shipping or something, SOMEONE here would have heard something.

I had a look at it and it's definitely the MIB3 one by EFX and it definitely says there is 1 in stock. Just another un-ethical/fraudulent amazon seller I suppose.

Some sellers are clueless... I'm thinking it might well be the FE one they have in stock and just figured they look the same or are the same...

Amazon.com: EFX Men in Black 3: Standard Issue Sidearm Replica: Toys & Games

Being clueless might be their excuse.. but I don't buy that for a second. Many low ethic companies just do it to get people to purchase it and then a month later send them an email telling them it is backordered but then they have them on the hook.. which is what their intention was.

I know.. I did the same search. They either don't care or they're ignorant. "Shop Nutrition" doesn't exactly sound like the kind of place you'd want to get your scifi replicas at!

Although I have minimum posts here on the RPF, I just want to give SAT one more chance to let us know what the status of this item is !
If they never would have requested pre paid deposits, then I wouldn't care if it took a lifetime to produce it.
But, the fact that many of us have paid the so call "non-refunable" $100.00 deposit, it should mandate some kind of response from SAT as we are now and obiviously funding this flawed project in some manner !
I re-read all of the post's as SAT made it a point that they would keep us informed and up to date on this item.
They have failed to meet their own promises and gaurantee's , I'am out my $100.00 deposit, I don't expect to ever get it with the current people incharge of this projact.
What a shame as this was really a very cool item !!!!!!!!!!

Like someone was saying, too bad no one here can make thes. But as long as the license holder is a member here, no one on the RPF can offer one of their own without getting banned.

Just chiming in as I used to be very close to some of the people involved,

This isnt John Bush's personal doing with the project. He like others is an employee. The issue is no comprehension of what it takes to produce the items em mass as a license holder. I know having worked on a few projects its complicated. From reading the sale pitch the original fabricators were to produce the items. Thats the first real red flag as these are some of the most talented fabricators on the planet yet also only enough people to count on a single hand. Considering these guys work long hours and extra long weeks on the norm, the thought a project such as this could ever be completed within any set reasonable time frame isnt feasible. Then take into consideration these are not a film prop but a collectors level item and the quality expectation is raised. I had seen a doomed project from before they were even announced publicly.

This type of project needs a separate entity to succeed. Years prior the talk was picking up the Firefly/Serenity license and doing items the current license holder has failed to produce. This was of course before the Serenity movie was even done filming. The end result was not enough hours in a day to produce licensed items while still doing work projects. Why they chose a complicated series of items to start with is a mystery but whats done is done.

They havent set out to scam anyone, just failed to produce anything. I suspect they still want to, it just comes back to the time and man power not being there. At this point damage done, issue refunds, move on. Problem is, no updates, no refunds, nothing. Not a good start.

Robstyle, you seem to be one of the few people who actually knows some of these SAT people.
As they refuse to take my calls and will not respond to my e-mails, would you do me a favor and the next time you see one of these guys , please ask them why they can't at least respond to a few e-mails.
Why have contact information on a web site when it is totally worthless as you might as well e-mailing to west fence post no where !
These guys might be busy but they sure had the time to take my money.

For my part I do not want my money back, I want this cool prop. Nobody can go there personally and ask what's going on :D :confused

That's not what I said !
I only asked and wanted to know why they don't have time to answer phone calls and emails as they say on their website to contact them if you have questions about your order.
Why give contact info if you never get back to anyone !!!!!!!!!!
I also want this item, that's why I ordered it, but these people need to give some information on the satus of this item.
Also, I think that anyone who has pre paid a deposit should be able to personally ask, what's going on.

Ive not spoken to anyone there for some years. Not much else to say that wasnt stated prior. They need a committed person handling the replicas and not someone in house. That was the nail in the coffin from the get go. Whats scarey if you think about it are the pre-orders placed outside of anyone with knowledge of the RPF. At least here there is a record of individuals making an attempt at either patience or a refund. There is yet another unheard group of people out there that have invested in what appears to be vaporware.

It's unfortunate whether it is SAT's fault or not, but situations like these are what give prop replicas a bad name. There has been a long history with license holders doing things like this.

After a few more attemps at contacting SAT I finally got this response from a John C. Bush,

Hello.

As you may already know, the MIB 3 replica project is not moving forward. We apologize for getting everyones hopes up. We are a bit disappointed ourselves. Direct refunds to your credit cards are not possible without having you fill out credit card authorizations first so we will be sending you an authorization form via email.

The authorization forms will follow this email shortly. Please confirm that you've received this email

Best regards,

John C. Bush

Guess this ends this project ! too bad as it was really a cool item.

So how does that work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will SAT just pass on our credit card info or will we need to once again prepurchase this item ?
I think that I have had more complications than I ever wanted in trying to buy any item in my lifetime.
This thing has become a total nightmare !, please just return my deposit.

Hope everyone gets their pre paid deposits back !!!!!!!!!!
These Guys took way too long to give us this latest info.

benhs1898, you probably know more about this then me, but I hope that Factory Entertainment will produse this item as
it really is a fine collectable.
