Men in Black 3- 2012 Standard Issue (CANCELED)

Nothing. I suggest everyone asks for their money back. A friend of mine got his deposit refunded. Apparently John has been dodging calls. He hasn't been very active on here either.

I'm currently waiting for mine. After a few e-mails I called them. Took a few tries but I think it might be happening now. I don't blame EFX for SAT's apparent inability to follow through in making these happen and the gods know replicas often get delayed for a long time, but the total lack of information or communication is very bad. I wouldn't be surprised if the sales numbers were so low that they just lost interest in the project. Shame, because the designs were beautiful.

Called the phone number listed on their website today and it immediately went to voice mail.
Called the main phone number and got transfered numerous times and nobody has ever even heard of this MIB3 Sidearm.
Finally got connected to a person who took a message and said that A guy named John would get back to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can not believe how they will not give us any updates on the status of this item, let alone actually take our phone calls.
Very frustrating that there is no easy way to ask for the $100.00 deposit back.

Maybe they went out of business or they're busy working on other films. Who knows but I think it's really messed up that no one is getting back to any of us, it's very unprofessional.

From what I've heard I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon fellas, I hate to say it though as I know a few people paid deposits.

Yeah I didn't get any responses either :-\ Damn....such a beautiful design. There are several sellers on Amazon that have this piece for sale as well....

If they come out, I would make the purchase. but after all this time with them not responding, I am extremely cautious about them.

If they do offer anything else, I won't be buying. I HATE having my money tied up with people who won't talk to me.

In a few months SAT will have had my $100.00 deposit for one year.
I can not believe that someone from SAT doesn'e have the BSSS!!! to give us some updated info.
SAT people on the RPF forum "Please ' let people know where you are on shipping this product.
If it's going to be delayed for a longer period time then say so.
But, by not responding to emails or phone calls you make yourself look really bad and it will only hurt you on future sales and getting a bad reputation.
Please give us a honest response or a link that we can go too and request a refund.
A little info can go a long way in helping us with this situation.
Just my opinion !

I have no problem when they need more time like 4 - 7 months to produce it, but some info would not be bad.

The fact that they took money and have shared no information is, frankly, unacceptable, IMHO. I'm done being patient, and will be getting my money back.

Sean

Personally I think it's beyond unprofessional at this point, and if it were any other company or private seller the RPF would probably be involved at this point to get an answer. The fact that RPF staff are friends with John Bush should make it easier to get a response... but perhaps it's the opposite... I mean it feels like this is a matter of, "Let's advertise our non-existing product on the forums and promote it so we can start collecting pre-orders, and then we'll disappear without a word!"

Just chiming in as I used to be very close to some of the people involved,

This isnt John Bush's personal doing with the project. He like others is an employee. The issue is no comprehension of what it takes to produce the items em mass as a license holder. I know having worked on a few projects its complicated. From reading the sale pitch the original fabricators were to produce the items. Thats the first real red flag as these are some of the most talented fabricators on the planet yet also only enough people to count on a single hand. Considering these guys work long hours and extra long weeks on the norm, the thought a project such as this could ever be completed within any set reasonable time frame isnt feasible. Then take into consideration these are not a film prop but a collectors level item and the quality expectation is raised. I had seen a doomed project from before they were even announced publicly.

This type of project needs a separate entity to succeed. Years prior the talk was picking up the Firefly/Serenity license and doing items the current license holder has failed to produce. This was of course before the Serenity movie was even done filming. The end result was not enough hours in a day to produce licensed items while still doing work projects. Why they chose a complicated series of items to start with is a mystery but whats done is done.

They havent set out to scam anyone, just failed to produce anything. I suspect they still want to, it just comes back to the time and man power not being there. At this point damage done, issue refunds, move on. Problem is, no updates, no refunds, nothing. Not a good start.

Well, if that's the case, they need to let us know. An update once in a while would ease our worries, even if things are as slow going as they seem to appear.

I'm sure most of us don't mind the wait - as long as we're being told what's going on behind the scenes. If they're having issues with manufacturing, tell us there are a few hiccups. And if the project isn't feasible at all, then refund our deposits.
