I used to love the mechwarrior PC games. Has anyone ever built a serious mech costume? A google search turns up 1 or 2 disasters.

I've seen some sweet gundam costumes. They're way more humanoid in shape which would make them easier to wear. I'm not really interested in gundam though.

I don't think it'd be that hard to build. They're so boxy so I figure simple styrene sheets could be used. The problem is their shape. Can a design be drawn that allows a person to wear one?

I've seen a number of Anime related costumes made from foam and vinyl. Nothing Mechwarrior/Battletech related, though.
