Spandex doesn't hug every nook and cranny of whatever its stretched over. It smoothes it all out. That's why spandex cosplays have muscle shading, you can't actually see the muscles through it. This face shell trick won't work unless you adhere the fabric into the indentations. With a firm faceshell and deep indents, yes it could work. The issue is most shells would be too thin.

It depends on the pleather he uses, but pleather can tear pretty easily if it's cheal

I doubt any of the suit is permanently or purely CG, Marvel has an absurd budget and can make essentially anything they want a reality

CG is cheap and efficient, Marvel uses it to 'fill in the blanks' all the time...
Remember that they built 17 helmets for Ant-Man and didn't even bother to make even a single one actually open/close mechanically (something that is relatively cheap and simple to pull off using servos, especially for a prop department with Marvel's enormous budgets), because ultimately it was just cheaper and easier to pull off the effect using CGI... Considering that, I'd say it's pretty likely that whenever Spidey's eyes open/shut in the film, the effect will probably be something they added in post.
Of course, that does not mean that we here on the RPF can't figure out a practical solution (as drumguy560 already has with his mechanical Ant-Man bucket).![]()
With the exception of the eyes, I think it's safe to say that most details of the suit will appear on a real, tangible version, including the indentation/flat red

I'm pretty sure the indents won't be CGI on the practical suit since there is a very feasible way to do it: add padding beneath the suit (light padding though). Same way they made the indents on Cap's suit. You're right I forgot! Because the suit is skin tight(Along with the mask) it would be impossible for there to be indents. How they managed this in the movie is thanks to the CG guys
this guy made the functioning lenses already if you scroll down his page a bit you can see https://www.facebook.com/SUPERROBOTNINJA/?fref=nf
It's a good alternative to the an aperture considering it's turning out to be such a difficult mechanism. In my opinion that's not very good. His lens is not like an aperture and it makes to much sound.

Is anyone here in contact with this guy? He's not replying to me and I think there is a chance he might be selling recasts of the asm2 kit he bought from me in October.

And anything electronic is probably going to make a sound like that.
