MCU Spider-Man Build (SPOILERS)

Alright, pattern is complete! Time to print it out (a lot of paper and ink) and put it on fabric! I also painted the mesh for the lenses so that's drying. I'm trying to decide wether I should keep doing small updates or big ones that have more time in between

Small frequent updates are great. Of course, you can do what you want, as its your thread XD
I'm just along for the ride, I'm not even making a suit, I just love helping analyze and throw out ideas, and seeing it all come together really makes me happy

What pattern did you use?

Think a faceshell like this could help with the indents?

I've seen people use the masks from Walmart that are from the tv show, then they bend it to get their shape of head. You can do your faceshell your way, I'm not telling you what to do.

Well it looks like he's doing his face she'll with the foam so he can add indents that the fabric will follow

Exactly. I have a hard faceshell, just looking to get the new shape of the fabric.

I don't think indenting parts of a face shell will make the fabric indent, unless you glue it down into the indents. Spandex will just stretch and smooth it all out.

You're right I forgot! Because the suit is skin tight(Along with the mask) it would be impossible for there to be indents. How they managed this in the movie is thanks to the CG guys

With a firm faceshell and deep indents, yes it could work. The issue is most shells would be too thin.

They have massive resources available to them, including their own textile factory and the thousands, maybe millions that they have to spend on the suit
This suit is not going to be entirely CG in the final movie, and he will most likely have the indents throughout all of his scenes

Practically, all it would take is spray adhesive and an indented faceshell
