Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (UPDATED 3-19, pg.2)

Yeah, I was thinking once I get the entire lower torso attached together I'll post a video of the mobility. I'm honestly surprised at the comfort and mobility of it, you can almost crouch Haha!

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (UPDATED 3-19)

Thanks guys! I'll try to get a vid of the mobility soon, I have a few more pieces of armor to attach on the left leg and then the belt, hopefully it will be finished this evening.

For now, here is a little test in after effects for the HUD. It's my first time using After Effects, so be nice!

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (UPDATED 3-19)

Haha that's what I used actually! That tutorial was absolutely fantastic, After Effects doesn't seem nearly as foreign to me now. Practice makes perfect!

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (UPDATED 3-19)

This is incredible.

You actually made cardboard look like metal lol

One of my favorite builds. Can't wait till the finish :)

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (VIDEO UPDATE 3-23)

this is one of the best iron man suits ive ever seen...
and i have no clue how you made it out of cardboard, but its just fantastic. i love the paint and the weathering you did on it too.

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (VIDEO UPDATE 3-23)

I agree. Hands down one of the best suits around. Great mobility and it covers nearly every inch of your lower body... no gaps, or things not lining up... simply perfect.

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (VIDEO UPDATE 3-23)

That is freaking sweet dude. Love it and cannot wait to see the finished result.
Also, you have great movement in that bad boy.

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (VIDEO UPDATE 3-23)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! I'm so glad you notice that I covered every square inch in armor, because that's why I made it out of Card board/craft foam (it's about 50-50 of each) and then covered it in duct tape in the first place. I wanted to give it all one surface look, while still having some key pieces rigid, and others flexible, which results in excellent movement.

Re: MCL34N's Iron Man Mark IV- pic heavy (VIDEO UPDATE 3-23)

Yea that video is sweet man, looks sweet!! great job!
