And that comparison shot is a thing of beauty, and a great testament to the amount of work you're putting into this to make it look just right.

agreed it shows that a lot of time and effort has gone into making the honey comb detail look perfect unlike the "gimp suit" :lol

Sorry about that. As you can imagine I've been getting a LOT of PMs lately about this suit, and I'm 99% sure that someone (I'm thinking it's a kid) is spamming the board and me in particular about Spider-Man costumes in general, and he keeps making fake accounts. So the fact that you just recently made your account is probably why I didn't respond.

Also on that note, If you're the person spamming the board about Spider-Man and you're reading this, PLEASE STOP.

Just wanted to share a comparison pic really fast, both of these masks were from the same print and identical, but you can see how much the honeycomb changes the color and look of the material.

I honestly just don't understand what this person hopes to achieve by sending me a dozen messages a day. If anything, i've become an expert at detecting his slightly broken English (thinking he's from the phillipines) and at this point he sure isn't getting diddly-squat from me. He's just so rude and demands that you respond to his messages immediately.

I'm hoping (since he seems to like this thread) that he'll read these posts and have enough decency to stop this behavior.

Sorry to hear about this kind of thing happening here on the boards, things like that can really sully the atmosphere. Makes sense why you haven't been answering any pms. No problems, I'd rather see you focus on finishing this thing and posting more pics! Also I was looking at some promo pics and I've definately decided that your lenses are a little bit too big for the amazing suit and are more in scale with the MacGuire suit. Just nitpicking but it might be worth a look in.

Yeah these are the same frames as the first mask I made, and they are much closer in size to the raimi suit than this films frames, but I plan to make some new frames for the full suit that will be much more accurate.

Awesome New Poster. I really like how you can see that the gloves and "boots" look like they are put on after he has the suit on like with the overlapping

The new eye frames are a lot smaller, 3-demensial and rounder then the Raimi frames I really like them

Hmm I'm slightly on the fence about the new frames. They just remind me a lot of the old live action Spider-Man show from the 70's-

That's why even though I've known that the frames are too big for a while now, I still like the look of it as a sort of hybrid of the Raimi suit frames. But I'm going for accuracy so I am making new frames and they will look a lot more like the movie frames.

Quick update! Here is the first look at the digital file for the Web-shooters- It's still rought and missing some stuff. I have a friend with a 3-D printer and we're going to see if it can handle this level of detail.

Yeah I saw those, but I've been going mainly off of screen grabs from trailers, because they're surprisingly detailed and usually directly above. but like I said it's still rough anyway.
