MCL34N's Amazing Spidey- 1 Year Later (New Pics Bottom of 29)

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

That's just beautiful. Can't wait to see the full suit 100% done!

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

Is that my head? haha

That mask looks incredible. There should be a similar shot in the movie where Parker is making his mask/suit.

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

Haha thanks guys! The first mask is on sale now, check the junkyard for more details.

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

I love your work!
wanting to make one of my own
how did you make the black part for the lens?
thanks!

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

:thumbsup :thumbsup

great stuff.

looks like the licensed one just doesn't have the right texturing.

can't wait to see yours with the final detail applied.

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

Those promo shots, unfortunately, are always deceiving. I wonder if they went the PVC route with the fabric. How much is that going to be? I guess by replacing the mask, it might be a good start for people wanting to go about the suit on a budget.

On the other hand, I've seen the level of detail Mcl34n applies on to his patterns and believe when I say, it looks even better than it does in the pictures! His suit will rock.

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

The eyes on that suit actually look pretty accurate which is surprising

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

Lol that licensed suit isn't even accurate in some places, especially the gloves. You'd think if your company was licensed by Sony to make a suit the least they could do is supply you with enough information to make it accurate. The coolest thing about that suit is the texture, but as El Fett said, those promo shots are ALWAYS deceiving. I can't wait to see an ACTUAL picture of one of these suits.

Ohhh you mean the red and blue blob? hahah

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

I like the lenses about the suit, but that's pretty much it, your's look way better, and they want 250 for it o_O

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

That looks like a painted trashbag...especially when compared against MCL34N's amazing work.

Can't wait to see the first completed suit, MCL34N!

soon as you said painted trash bag coffee went flying onto my desk through my nose :lol

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (Pic Heavy)

Thanks Nick!

Just wanted to share a comparison pic really fast, both of these masks were from the same print and identical, but you can see how much the honeycomb changes the color and look of the material.

I'm glad I didn't go with my first joke then. ("It looks like a Spidey gimp suit")

You probably would have coughed up an organ in surprise. :lol

And that comparison shot is a thing of beauty, and a great testament to the amount of work you're putting into this to make it look just right.
