maybe an original Johnnie Walker Blade Runner bottle from 1982?

I justasked one question.

Somehow the old information about the bottle from Annie was forgotten. Some of us have kept pictures from Annie with Carol Burnett holding it.

Still, there seems to be no reference information about it.

It's like pictures of Rachael's blue coat. There are no surviving references of the back of it.
If you watch Annie all the way through you’ll get a scene where a little girl uses the original “bottle” as a microphone to sing into. When she’s done with the song she tosses it and you can clearly hear it bounce a number of times.
What does that tell us? That it’s plastic for one.
Did you notice the empties of this same bottle in the background of Zhora’s dressing room? When she throttles Deckard and runs out the door all those “bottles” hit the ground and make the exact same sound as it did in Annie.
There’s a lot that can be figured out through observation and by hearing the various stories.
The one I always liked is about that prop guy who worked on Annie. Story goes that he packed that bottle away in stores when Annie Shooting wrapped and happened to be around Ridley when he put the call out for a unique bottle. The story goes that he grabbed a scrap piece of plywood and sketched the bottle from memory for Ridley to see and that Ridley liked what he saw on that scrap and gave it his approval by signing it, after which the props guy went and got it out of stores for him to have replicated.
Now, add to that story with another that I’ve heard many times about how Ridley HATES seeing props he’s used for his movies appearing in other movies.
The story goes that after He wrapped the shoot for Blade Runner he went around the set making little piles of props that he then set on fire. True? I don’t know, but it does answer a couple of questions if it is, mainly if it was glass he wouldn’t have bothered to torch it so the odds say the bulk of them were plastic. Secondly it would give a good explanation as to why we’ve never seen a plastic bottle from Blade Runner.
My bet has always been that there were a couple of glass ones made (heroes) that were used in the close up scenes and they’re sitting in cupboard somewhere in one of Ridley Scott’s Houses.

^^
The vacu-formed bottle will never be able to hold a liquid. Once again; you'll have to go to a manufacturer of plastic bottles to make sure it will.
And again: aluminium/steel molds makes it a very expensive endeavour! Not counting the minimum amount of bottles you'll need to buy in order to cut the cost down. o_O
You know most real plastic bottles are blow molded right?

Yes, at a factory with the proper machines...not so much for BR. The accepted story is that one prop person had one glass bottle (as you probably know, prop guys have a tendency to get "stuff", i.e. : while traveling, antiquing, garage sales, etc...). A mold/buck was made, taking the original glass one and a few bottles were produced via vac-forming (we don't know how many).
The two halves were glued together and dressed as real glass whisky bottles (labels and all). A major problem with these plastic ones is that they had a tendency to leak (hence, not one of those "empties" you'll see on screen had any liquid in them!).
Like the gun, only the hero bottle was handled during principal photography...I'm sure that, on set, everyone was praying for Harrison not to drop it!!!:eek::eek: Maybe one day, someone will sell the used screen glass bottle on the Propstore...maybe;)

Considering that any lazy process requires an original to copy, this leads us back to the question of the original bottle. Where did it come from and why doesn't anyone know the origin?

After seeing how every tiny kit part of the millennium falcon has been dissected, much like Deckard's apartment, it is a mystery why no one has been able to identify this one object.
