Well, I’m really glad I decided to stick with the series, its beginning to be consistently entertaining every episode now, and its character writing has not only considerably improved, but it has broadened and increased the appeal of every single cast member without fail (though Skye still remains a bit of a lost sheep within the crew, other than being an angel of empathy of course , though at least Phil had the grace to say he thinks he knows what he wants to do with her eventually).
They are also managing with great success to get the balance between plot and character development spot on, so it just feels more naturalistic (even down to the scrabble game at the end and Mays slight smile) and the result was the episode felt satisfyingly complete (even without a Coulson regeneration clue!). I also enjoyed how the plot flipped mid way from being a regular X men to a haunted house (or is that plane?) story.
Outside of the series I have to say how utterly impressed I am in Ming-Na Wren’s real super power, which is to apparently to have stopped time and aging in her thirties. Given she has actually been alive as long as Dr Who’s been on television it appears she may have also flinched his regenerating powers as well as managing to channel Bruce Lees fighting spirit. What an awesome person!
Mid season cliff hanger coming up,should be interesting to see whats going to happen. I’ve bought the cigars, just waiting to light them up.
