Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I'd like to see Thor, Tony Stark, etc. make a cameo, but even before this show started people were saying they hoped it didn't focus on superheroes. So I think either way people would complain.

And anybody who happened to be in the SHIELD facility they were at a few episodes back and he was walking around in a low or no security area with the whole team.

Sent from my Etch A Sketch.

Yeah, unless 'the hub' was a level 7 area in it's entirety (which it wasn't) him being alive isn't much of a secret anymore. Not even close. Unless a secret is something between you and a few thousand people you work with. :)

To me this isn't spoilery since it was shown at the end of the last episode, but I don't imagine he stays a captive long. Cool that they're finally going to answer what happened to him though.

Isn't that how it always is?

Or unless your average Shield employee (from cleaners on up to level 6 Agents) don't know who the hell Coulson is. That would explain why nobody shouts "Coulson's back!" at the top of their lungs whenever they see him.

Same reason you don't fold up top secret/classified documents and stick them in your back pocket and then go running through airports. Sure, no one knows what you have - but you don't know who could see what if you drop them. If it's such a hush hush thing that it's super secret, just becasue 2000 of those people don't know who he is doesn't mean 20 people who do didn't or couldn't have seen him.

Could be nothing at all, but Coulson did say "...the Avengers thought I was dead...", not think.

Maybe the cat is already out of the bag, we just haven't seen that bit yet.

I still think there shouldn't be much of a presence from the mainline superheroes other than a passing reference. For me this is a show about the folks in the trenches ... peripheral low profile field agents. I don't have a problem with the pseudo-superheroes because they're not meant to occupy the same tier as the big guys.

If Capt or Stark made a cameo I feel it might actually detract from show, for me.

Now I still struggle with the organization's lack of professionalism. The numerous laxities in security have already been described so I won't repeat them.

Ooh! Oooh! Oooh! MEEEEE!!!!!!

SPOILER!

I don't see why saving someone's life is something to apologize for, even if it took days of torturous procedures, especially if the tortuous memory was erased and replaced with a pleasant memory.

Nice to see Ron Glass again though.

I had the feeling that the Doctor expected to be offed. Perhaps that is why he was acting the way he was.

...and if that was a real memory, where is the huge scar around his head?!

I didn't care for that visual AT ALL!

Loved the show up till that point.

We will see where it goes. Guess we find out more about Sky's parents soon.

Great Point!

Also if centipede is extremis based shouldn't Mike's limbs have grown back and his other wounds be healed?

So any clue what happend to Coulson? Lol I've watched it over and over and I don't get it. Is he a Life Model Decoy now? Or did they just rewrite his memory to give him the will to live?

He's still organic, they just did really unethical and painful stuff to resurrect him that left him wishing for death before they rewrote his memories.

Ok. So does anybody else think that Coulson is Sky's dad? They kinda have a connection going on throughout the series.

I think since he was dead for "days" per the doctor, after they repaired/replaced his heart they had to go in there and repair the dead brain tissue with that machine. And at the same time replaced his memories.

I also agree that there is nothing to apologize for, except for the pain he went through, which they erased or buried anyway. I think he's still the same person, just rebuilt with some new (possibly alien) tech.

"We can rebuild him. We can make him better, faster, stronger. We have the technology."

That was disappointing to me. It's not very "Marvel", or even comic bookish , any sci-fi show could go with a story like that. It's starting to look like a very average sci-fi show with a Marvel logo slapped on it, that's not what I expect from a marvel comic book show. It's like they're afraid of their own comic roots.
It should have a lot more ties with the MCU. I'll wait for it to end then watch the remaining episodes from now on, but if it were up to me I wouldn't renew it for a season 2.
Oh and the clairvoyant better be a real mutant that is in the marvel vilains database, not another character made up for the show !
