I received both of my boards yesterday and overall I am very pleased with the product. I took the board I bought to skate out for a run this morning. I'll post a few more pictures and a review in the next day or so.

Dream34, I'm glad your boards finally showed up, and glad you like them. I dig the dirty wheels - my wheels are filthy from the Puente Hills parking lot.
Everyone else, about the 'add-on' parts. There are just three parts in question. I just want to be really clear about everything. 1. The copers. 2. The wheels. 3. The trucks.
1. The copers. It seems to be everyone's choice that IF Jerry Madrid will loan me the original copers, I should mold and cast them. Jerry is traveling for Thanksgiving and I probably won't hear back about the copers until he gets back. Be patient, and we'll figure this out. But, this is me doing this for you guys - I'll do all the work and there won't be any markup obviously, but I will need a couple bucks to cover supplies and shipping. Madrid did the best they could to find the OG flat-bottomed copers and shouldn't be faulted for not being able to find them. Remanufacturing them for a limited run wasn't possible.
2. The wheels. This is possible and I do have the skills to do this. But, like the copers, this would just be me molding my vintage wheels and experimenting with materials and colors. It may or may not ultimately work. I'll probably have to do a bunch of tests and send a set of wheels out to Dream34 to give them a test ride. There's all sorts of things that can go wrong with this, like shrinkage and other stuff I haven't thought of yet. Or, it will just work. But, I'd have to split the cost of doing this with everyone who wants a set, plus shipping. I know nobody wants to buy anything before seeing them, but neither do I. We have to be in this experiment together. Again, Madrid shouldn't be faulted for not having the ability to have new molds created for the OG Fly wheels. It was prohibitively expensive for such a short run. We brought this project to Madrid and together, we did the best that could be done for a limited production run. The only other possibility was not to do the boards at all.
3. The trucks. Dream34 may have found a great trucks swap that only needs to be painted black. If they work out, we'll all just have to order those directly. I can't make trucks. But what Dream34 found works out, I will buy a couple pairs of them too.
And, anybody who's lucky enough to already have the proper vintage flat-bottomed copers and needs new 'vintage' Madrid stickers for them, send me a PM and I'll ship you a set. I've already shipped a few sets out. I don't mind dropping a couple stickers in an envelope for you guys.
Happy Holidays
