Not surprising, I've had someone on ebay (from Singapore actually) take my entire JY thread description for my items, including my posted sizes and Proof image I sketched for the factory... and threw it on ebay. They didnt even change a single word I wrote, right down to the "flavor text" about the item and the only place I had written it that way was here. He also grabbed it before I made a change to it with a new proof so I know he took the old one specifically with the hole in the top versus having an attached loop

So there are people hanging around here to basically just swipe stuff and put it on ebay. Thats why I'm not posting Proofs or large pictures anymore when selling things *shrug*

He is deliberately bull****ting people about Mark's shoes for profit.

These shoes were made by Tim (BTTF123). Try asking him if he sold these to him. I know he only made about 3-4 sets.

Um, what? If enough people report the listing as fradulent, eBay will pull the listing. I think you're getting caught up in this whole dirty harry routine.

I'd like to however point out that the content of his replies to Lee and myself, are not on his listing, but in his responses to questions via email.

That is where the BS is.

Um, what? If enough people report the listing as fradulent, eBay will pull the listing. I think you're getting caught up in this whole dirty harry routine.

I kind of agree... While we need to figure out if they are a member and get them banned, we also need to do our part to make sure he doesn't scam an unsuspecting person. If you were bidding, wouldn't you like someone to come forward if they have info to keep you from losing money on a fake item? I know I would. We need to not only "protect the collectors of the RPF", but collectors in general. We should ban him here AND shut his auction down.

But that is my opinion on this. I have reported him to eBay and if no one else does, so be it.

IMO, there is nothing on the listing that eBay will deem is necessary to pull the listing.

I also noticed Markpoon's shoes selling like hotcakes in the JY to members with 1,2 & even 0 posts...

I hope we don't see an influx of scams prepping to hit the eBay market

Not been a member here for too long, just drop in now and again for a few tips, but I have to say I'm very impressed by the effort some of you guys go to to stop this type of fraud.
I've not really looked in JY as I would be disappointed if I found something which I could not buy (as a new member). So it's good to see we're being looked after. To the untrained eye stuff like this, and re-casts etc. could have catch someone out.
I've definitely been close to buying off ebay, until I've seen warnings here.

I don't think anyone ever thought that you were a part of this scam. You have ALWAYS been an upstanding member here and I put 100% trust in you.

I KNOW FOR SURE no one thought you were a part of the scam!!
If you were trying to cash in, you would have jacked up the JY prices to capitalize on the hype. But you are maintaining your original price which is commendable and shows that it is not about profit for you!!

As long as the seller is willing to sell to them, they are allowed to buy, just no selling or trading until they have 20 posts
