Nope look carefully the paint splatter on the soles are different than the above picture

Must have been a small run of these 'foam' versions done by someone. In anycase I think we're heading down the more difficult path. The easiest way to find out who it is, is for Mark to look at his past shipping records who no doubt made the shoes in the auction.

In all my past searches and researches, I have never come across anything remotely having to do with a run of these.

Any BTTF fan have a recollection of such a run ?

I tried to help out by going through the list of members in Australia with a join date prior to 2007 but couldn't see anyone that seemed to post with this guys vocab... he could of course, not put his location or put a fake location, but he doesnt seem that smart...

The pic of the shoes in #18 the laces seem thicker than normal... my guess is someone is making these to capitalize on all the hype lately.

... nah. I wish to keep this between us on the RPF for the moment.

Unless markpoon sheds light on this, somebody recognises him from the pic in order to link him to a forum name, or we establish the origin of those shoes Emeldahay posted, there's little else to do at this point.

I was hoping for other members to chime in with any info they may have, especially the huge BTTF fans.

Maybe it’s possible that with the release of a licensed product, people who in the past may have made unlicensed ones have been told (or thought of it on their own) that discussing past sales might be detrimental

If he wanted to talk about it I’m sure he would, but remember the prop forum on the RPF is open to the public...

Works great for outing scammers (like this thread) but some members might be constrained from discussing everything

Playing devils advocate, this could now end ugly for Mark too no? If, this were to go as far as Nike......, you know the rest, but it could affect Marks "futuristic basketball shoes" too.

TBH, its a worry i have with so many new members joining here very recently to simply buy a pair, cant tar all with the same brush of course, so please, dont all take offence, but i really hope none of them have the same agenda.

There sure have been a sudden rush of people looking for these shoes on here and for conversions. Nike releasing these suddenly has people coming out of the woodwork.

Click the "report post" button on his listing.

Then choose reason for report as "fraudulent listing".

Then in the subject box, type short message with the link to the RPF sales thread so eBay can see the shoes, the original COA and the fact that they are not limited editions and they can be bought for $190.00. What he is doing is fraud and you don't need to use the Vero program for that. Anyone can report possible fraud listings.

I say we each do this, and when they get more than one alert, they most likely will shut it down before he sells. If he keeps reporting, we keep reporting

Not to burst your bubbles folk, but eBay, Nike and whoever, can do, or will not care a hoot to do, anything about this scammer or Mark's shoes.

The only reason I started this thread was because I think this guy is a member here, and not one of the recent new folk.

Non-members can't access the JY.

Also, it is uttery useless to report the listing to eBay.

I'm afarid this has to be solved "internally".

It's not a matter of shutting his auction down or listing him as a scammer on a website.

For me, it's about getting this toad banned from here if he is a member.
