Markpoon McFlys on eBay. Scammer - starwear_status01

Re: Markpoon McFlys on eBay. Scammer. Member here ?

It has been pointed out to me that this fellow has been advised, with evidence, that the shoes he is selling are markpoon's shoes.

This eliminates any shadow of doubt that he is not aware of what he is selling.

(as if there was any doubt, but anyway).

Therefore, I see no reason why not to name and shame him, and have also changed the thread title accordingly.

So he is a member here?

No idea. Mark is looking into it and will advise tonight (his time). The guy is drowning with McFly shoes packing etc.

Whatever the case, let this thread remain on the records with his name and surname etc in case anybody is searching in the future.

Thanks for starting the thread and getting the name out there:)

Re: Markpoon McFlys on eBay. Scammer. Josh Aaron - Member here ?

Yeah. It's out there all right. Gotta love the speed of technology.

Google starwear_status01 or Starwear Status.

This thread is the 6th item.

There will be feedback for this item on eBay, and the buyer will then be pointed in this direction, even if the seller decides to end the auction now and sells to the highest bidder.

So don't worry about eBay not pulling the auction.

Eventually, one way or another, whoever buys these shoes is going to find out about their origin, (even if the seller doesn't sell them through eBay) once the buyer starts showing them off and saying where he got them from.

The seller is toast, whichever way you look at it.

Here's a 'good one'.

A pair of the Nike McFlys sold for 2500.

These ones are at 2700, with about 3 days to go.

Its gotta be somebody yanking his crank surely Alan? Hope that is the case, just to waste the sellers time, time after time.

I hope so, and oh goodie. Then we can all bid on his shoes auction to 100,000 again and again :lol

What's the worst that can happen ? An unapaid bid strike.

Gosh, I won't sleep tonight with all the worry :lol

Oki Doki. An update.

I've been in touch with markpoon, and the bottom line is that

a) Mark did not sell these to the guy, unless he used a different name and PayPal email. Mark, and understandably so, does not wish to disclose how many shoes he sold to Australia.

b) There are no numbers on the certificates. So the guy must have added that himself in order to add to the 'limited edition' scam.

Well folks, from my end, that's the best I can do.

He's probably put a steel wall to prevent me from bidding on his auction ... but y'all have fun now :thumbsup

I'll be damned if I let those sell, :darnkids

Yeah Matt.

And I had sent him this message when he had no bids, so no excuses or playing innocent if he leaves the auction run I'm afraid.

Dear xxxxxx,

Hi,

This is a quote from your auction

"These Nike Mags are very rare to find or buy, these are an extreme limited edition, you wont find these anywhere else."

Are you aware that these are available for $190 from the RPF ?

If not, here you go.

http://www.therpf.com/f9/markpoon-mcflys-ebay-scammer-josh-aaron-member-here-126736/

Now you are aware.

Therefore, now being aware of the facts, if you leave the wording as it is, you will be deliberately scamming your potential bidders.

You may wish to change the wording in your listing, so that potential bidders will not get back to you after they find out the facts.

Please feel free to join the rpf and have a look in the 'for sale' section to see these shoes.

Also, the person who sells them does so on eBay as well, at $200.

Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps you.

Regards,

Alan

Didn't someone here make the tube bag as well?

Re: Markpoon McFlys on eBay. Scammers : starwear_status01 & scottishray

Yes i saw the bag and thought that too. Be a shame if he is a member here, TBH i myself couldnt live with the shame of being such a loser, but hey, some skins are thicker than others.

Re: Markpoon McFlys on eBay. Scammers : starwear_status01 & scottishray

Maybe he's a member, maybe he's not. Not sure about this one. He's more into shoes than props.

I just can't stand the fact that while Mark acts like a gentleman and leaves his prices the same, both here and on eBay, people like these want to make a quick buck through deceit, off Mark's back.

I'll be damned if I'll let that happen, and I'll do what I can to stop it. If I can't, at least my conscience is clear that I did my best.

Oh, and happy bidding ladies and gentlemen, coz here's another one that's locked me out with a steel wall :lol

Re: Markpoon McFlys on eBay. Scammers : starwear_status01 & scottishray

Its definitely not a member as I made 2 bags one went to my brother which has a pair of Mcfly's but treasures them more than anything :) and the other I sold to someone on a BTTF Facebook page I asked if he was an RPF member and he seemed baffled.

I know I will not be popular with this message, but it's very low to start a thread naming 2 eBayers as "scammers" first of all none of us have the authority to be trawling eBay looking for something that's 'wrong' or badly worded. Secondly both of these eBayers might have bought these shoes from someone that said they were limited edition and took their word on it.

I was proud to be an RPF member and I still am but it's shocking to see RPF members gang up on people we have no idea about.

OK, point one, they ARE scammers, period, crying there innocence is futile and a bit naive with some of the replies we have had from said sellers.

Point two, would you be as shocked and appalled if it were an item of yours in the same situation, your bag say, if you were to mass market it....i really think not.

As for "trawling" Ebay, i think we ALL have that right (and im glad we do), as so many scammers, recasters, and general oxygen theives have been found that way.

Maybe think outside the box a little bit on this one mate.
