Man of Steel (Pre-release)

Photo's almost narmy. The suit really needs something to break up the blue. Looked okay when he was crouching but full body it needs something at the waist for contrast.

I agree...All they would have needed to do was have a red waist band that maybe comes down to a slight "V" point in the front.

The good thing about the cover is the title "time for a change". couldnt agree more :)

idc bout the missing undies btw (not something i find to be a must for superman) aslong as the movie will be good. Maybe they made this superman smarter and made him realize that his underwear should be in his pants :p

So apparently we've gone from every hero wearing motorcycle leathers to every hero wearing a basketball. I'm excited about this movie, but that suit is awful.

I was exaggerating. He's also weak to magic, so Shazam could give him a run for his money. My point stands though, outside the ridiculously plentiful green rock he's never in danger so who cares? The closest they can get to making it interesting is putting others in danger so it's more an issue of if Superman can save everyone rather than if he'll get an owwie.

Superman's pain and struggle is derived from his need for acceptance on a planet that was not his home. Pain and weakness doesn't have to be physical. His struggle with doing what is right, based on his upbringing, in spite of occasionally being hated and outcast, and never deviating from his morality...that is where Superman's true strength lies.

He is just as weak and vulnerable on the inside as the rest of us.

What would really be funny is if they had a scene with Clark rolling out of bed or changing his clothes or something - and all he had on was red underwear.

The problem is every superhero these days is just as weak and vulnerable on the inside as the rest of us because that's what readers and the industry have decided works. It's a slightly different spin because he's almost the last survivor of an alien world. There's nothing unique about his emotional pain.

Cavill is listed at 6'1", and I'm sure there are some heels built into his boots as well. He is standing behind her, remember. He's a big guy.

So being almost the last survivor of your planet is not enough to make that pain unique?? What more could you want?

I don't know, maybe the ACTUAL last survivor?

For being the "last of his race" there sure are a lot of Kryptonians roaming around.. Kara, Zod, Ursa, Non, many residents of the Phantom Zone, not to mention a couple of clones and an ENTIRE CITY IN A BOTTLE!!!

Instead of doing the morally responsible thing and bringing them out to settle an uninhabited world and rebuild their culture and society, Kal-El leaves them all bottled up.

Yet another reason why Superman Is A Dick.

Well, Amy Adams is listed as being 5'4" (~average for an American woman), the heels look to be ~3" so that makes her 5'7" (give or take) which would make Supes about 5'10" at least but probably closer to 6'.

To me the arch in her foot suggests heels closer to 5 inches high...but really no one knows for sure.

Either way I see no problem with the height of either of them....and they look stellar together.

They die if he tries to take them out of the bottle. I can't remember exactly what Brainiac did but he fixed it to where they and the city can not be freed from the bottle.

All he has to do is contact Batman and get him to work with Braniac 5.0 and the Kandorians will be free by lunch.
