Making the Samaritan (W.I.P)

Ever since i was younger i loved Hellboy well recently i have found myself in a position to where i can dedicate the time to make props and i would like my first prop to be Hellboy's Pistol. I would like to know if anyone else has made this and might let me know the exact dimensions. otherwise thanks for stopping by.

well, if you don't have a problem with paper models, a quick google search of "hellboy samaritan paper model" can set you on the right path. also, look for a link to a build thread on a website called zealot or papermodellers. a member has built the gun using the very same paper model and it looks pretty sweet. if not anything, it can be a working blueprint for whatever you choose to build the gun out of.

Indy Mogul-show "Backyard FX" did a tutorial video for this gun I believe. Make a search on YouTube for "BFX Hellboy" and you will find it!

Thank you, i will look into them and i was hoping for a plastic/metal one but i think paper would be really cool as well.

try a search...there are a couple good ideas/ builds on here ...I made mine out of wood and a few simple tools..the pepakura gun is ok but belongs on a origami site

Hi not sure if you've seen these, i'm using these at the moment to build my own samaritan, just blew them up on the laptop to get the right size hope they help.http://www.therpf.com/f9/hellboy-samaritan-37132/index3.html It says the gun is 22mm caliber so I plan on using 12 gauge cartridges (used ones of course) or 12 gauge snap caps which i've seen on ebay

Sorry about the late reply to this. But due to work on other projects i have i ended up setting aside my prop gun of the Samaritan. I am starting with papercraft and have the handle almost...made. *cough* also Thank you to bonnieminibeast that link was very useful and will be great for reference when i switch to plastic.

you can get 12 gauge empty brass shells which i have been looking into some are even unbranded so you could get the base engraved
