Finally got around to working on it some more. Finished the hands, trimmed out the hood, and started work on the extra stuff now. Now I just need to finish his weapon and other small detail work!

Re: Making a 1:1 scale ewok

Just finished off another Commission! Based off the first one I did, but upgraded pieces, and way more accurate spear.

Awesome stuff. Question about the clay you use (for nose, lips, fingers, etc.). What type is that? Does it completely harden or do you need to do something to the surface to treat it? Thanks.

Re: Making a 1:1 scale ewok

oh man...this made my day. I would love to have one of these! Excellent work!

Re: Making a 1:1 scale ewok

It's a no-bake sculpting clay. You leave it out for several days once you've finished sculpting and it totally hardens. No extra applications needed. It's served me pretty well so far!

This is a cool project. Really great looking finished product.

Funny story. I got to be an extra in ESB and ROTJ special editions. One of the days I was there shooting there was this giant bin filled with ewok suits from the previous day's shooting. It looked like a mass grave. It was creepy and funny.

Anyway, great work.

Re: Making a 1:1 scale ewok

I realized I never posted a good finished picture of the Grey Ewok. I no longer have him cause I traded him, but still loved this one!

They all laughed at you on the first page of this thread...but who's laughing now?! Muhahahahahaaaa!!! Nice work. ;)

Re: Making a 1:1 scale ewok

Awesome! Love that gray! Nice work indeed Andrew!

I have created several over the years that my daughter has worn trooping with me when representing the 501st & Rebel Legion. She has just recently grown out of her Ewok suit. You have inspired me to incorporate a bunch of materials and mask I have stored into some stand-up furballs. Perhaps now we can use some of this stuff for displays at upcoming events. Well done!
