MAKE BELIEVE's collection - "Star Trek" new additions

MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Shawshank Redemption collection

Here's my small Shawshank Redemption collection (Red's tin can, Andy's rock hammer and Bible are not 100% accurate, but I'm happy with it. The posters are also smaller than the originals).

MAKE BELIEVE's collection - The Shinning display

Decided these two "The Shining" prop replicas would be better on the wall so made this "box frame" to display it

MAKE BELIEVE's collection - New Titanic and Elm Street frame displays

...And a couple more selfmade "boxed frames" to house my Freddy's sweater and Titanic lifevest

Re: MAKE BELIEVE's collection - New Titanic and Elm Street frame displays

Love all of the custom-made shadow boxes man! They add a very professional look to your props. (I especially like the photos that you added for reference to show where each item is used in the films.) Awesome work as usual!

Re: MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Dorothy's Ruby Slippers

Great job ! It must have taken a lot of patience . How long did this take you ?

Thanks Gary. Yes this is a time consuming job and requires some patience (but when you like what you're doing... :rolleyes)
Including all (painting the shoes red, cuting the felt, making the bows and above all the sequins - aprox 7 meters), I'd say about 8 hrs with each shoe! :)

Re: MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Chaplin display

Bravo my friend! Bravo! Very classy looking indeed. You just keep topping yourself lately, don't you?

MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Home made T2 gun and display

Re: MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Home made T2 gun and display

This looks great,my friend ! What is the size of this gun ?

Thanks mate

About 45cm. The "toy gun" has metal and plastic parts (that I painted to somehow give a wooden look). The original gunstock and barrel were cuted for a more "accurate" look

Re: MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Book of the Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows

This is my "Book of the Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows"
It's far from perfect and not 100% accurate but once it was my first attempt, I'm happy with it. Comments are most welcome.
Thank you

Re: MAKE BELIEVE's collection - Book of the Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows

You did a wonderful job with the Nine Gates. The patina of the cover, the endbands, the edges of the paper all look great. From a strictly bookbinding perspective, it's very important that I note here for others that books like this should lie flat when open -- just as this one does. The paper lining the interior of the covers was also worked in well enough to provide a good hinging action. For a first attempt, this is really fantastic. You should certainly be proud of it! :thumbsup (And just a word of caution -- when it comes to making books, they're all imperfect, and so it's easy for the obsession to take hold... ;))
