You're jacking the price up by letting everyone know lol. I can't believe how much these are going for now. The last one sold for over $300. That's nuts!

HOLY S#@!, can't believe what I just read, well my only suggestion is to get the cheap airsoft one that's in all tan. If you go on fishpond.com they still have them for 69.95, luckily I got mine when they weren't in high demand for $45 but that jump to 300 is INSANE! lol
P.S. if you get the all tan one, just paint the necessary parts black it actually gives it a kinda weathered look, if your going for that it your build. Hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for sharing that! I'm going to try and snag one. Normally, I'm really anal about accuracy, but only with certain costumes.
I was only thinking of doing a quick Mad Max costume because I happened to find a football shoulder pad in my storage unit. Someone sent it to me, painted black years ago.

Hey guys! Currently chopping up one of the airsoft replica M83's and I've got a couple of questions, based on what I've read through this thread:
1. I see a majority of people leaving the pouch I've circled in purple, but I'm having trouble finding it in any of the pics. Is this being left for convenience, or am I not looking at the right angled picture?
2. The pouch I've marked in red, it's cut and moved over, correct?

The pouch circled in purple should be removed and the one marked red you have correct.

My name is Stefano and I type from Italy, I've read this thread like 3 times from the first post to the last, I love the work you guys have done so far and I'm doing a Fury road Max costume myself
As far as now I have the battle vest (arrived weathered and complete with all parts) and I still have to understand 100% what pouches I have to remove. The Thermal shirt is on its way, took a shoulder pad from a guy in russia, seems to be very well replicated from the movie but I'll be shure only I'll see it in my hands.
Everything proceed slowly but inexorable, I'll post pics of the costume Also I'm very corius to see pics of the weathered version of comicguy's costume

Hey, Stefano. Welcome to the forum. I haven't really touch any pieces yet. After all this time I've actually just ordered the condor M4 mag pouches. I wanted to get all the rare stuff first. Besides the mags those are the last pieces I need for the battle jacket. Don't know when I'll start weathering but here's a quick mockup of what I have. I already had boots on so I didn't feel like taking them off to put the Under Armour ones on but you get the idea.

Too lazy to read the thread an check if this has been answered. Do we have a good shirt for the waffle knit thermal? Like a link? A lot of you seem to have good waffle knit shirts and I can't find ANY that look like the same stitching/color/collar of the movie. Have we found a SA shirt or at least a definite close enough yet? Thanks.

Just use the search bar in this thread dude, all you have to do is type in shirt.
The henley used in the movie is so generic we can't identify it, I doubt we really will.
Considering to make it accurate you have to cut off both the sleves, the hem, and the collar, just use any shirt that's close enough and you'll be fine.

Does anyone have a tutorial with pictures on how to attach an accurate shoulder pad to their jacket? Madmaxcostumes said to use three rivets but they had no pictures and said it hadn't been tested, I was hoping someone had actually done it and could talk about it.
And for those who own the South Beach Leather pants, is the leather lining accurate or recommended? Or is it only for cold weather?

Nice... I still have to buy mag pouches too but found myself with no money, gotta wait a couple month before purchase any. I've read all the thread and maybe due to lenguage problems I did not understand what pouche is used for the upper right shoulder?

Also the leg brace is A REAL problem for me... foud one vintage polio brace... but look more similar to the road warrior version, I prefered something more fury road style..

But how does it works for the mag pouches, i just type " condor M4 mag pouches" or it has to be a specific model? I can't recognize the difference between them. Ok for the triple MA27 black, single MA18 tan, and single 5.11 (condor? tan color?)
Then i'll read again the part about the pistol holster+leg panel+mag pouc cause I don't remember wich one I have to purchase, too much stuff !! Also readiing a different lenguage is kind of tedius when I must understand I have to take this holster or that holster... wahh!

"Condor" is the brand name
This is the model you need (black and coyote tan)
you need 2 "5.11"s pouches; 1 tan, 1 black. ("5.11" is the brand)
You need a "Condor" Drop leg panel black
you will need a "Condor" coyote Tan single flashbang poch for the leg panel
You need a black Beretta or Glock Ambidiextrous holster from "Condor"

Those 5.11 pouches are still really hard to find, I'm not having any luck on ebay or amazon or google. I see Condor single pistol mag pouches, but we've confirmed those won't be accurate, yeah?
Noticed this from the artbook scans, didn't see any posts mention it. Looks like the other side of the seatbelt buckle that we've seen a few pics of hanging from the back:
From the placement of both and the fact that it's been noticed on Grizzly Max, it almost seems like these buckles hang from his shoulder pad, but they aren't really visible anywhere in the movie like when Nux is wearing the jacket, which gives lots of good views of the jacket. Maybe it was removed from wherever it was attached to by the time they started filming?
