Dragnet 1987 - Friday's undercover jacket

I asked around if anyone knew who was on the remaining pin and one person said it could be another of Sid Vicious. Maybe? I can kind of see it, but not much.

Two more. Left one is closer to the pin, right one is closer to the photo.

It’s what I had written in the first couple of posts but I do not think it’s the American legion and none of the pins come in 1” so gotta be something else, looks to be more likely police, but can’t tell which one exactly…

It also seems to be 8 point, not 10.
The closest police I have found so far is Denver, but it is topped with an eagle.
There is also the Royal Army Service Corp, but it is topped with a crown.
It would have been hilarious if his undercover clothes had an LAPD pin, but they don't seem to use that style shield.

In this shot it looks like there is something in the middle.
Maybe a 7 year service pin?
But is is also so small and blurry it could be anything.

Not seeing it here.

Not part of the coat, but this may be a lock that came with Briggs & Riley luggage.

It's definitely a starbust style pin, but the center is raised. It could also be British, the design in itself isn't too uncommon, but yeah haven't found something that has a raised center like this. I might just use something else as a placeholder for now.
It also looks like the bottom is straight, which is very common from police badges, but these look more like NY badges, but they often have 4 pointy edges on each quarter rather than 3.

It could always be modified in some way. Maybe it’s a normal police officer’s pin but they covered up the logo with a shirt button, or some other small disc, and that’s why it’s raised? I guess that wouldn’t really make sense since none of the other pins are censored.
