Can you send me a detailed materials list to build it?
If you have a materials list/plans can you send them to me? :thumbsup
I would love a copy of the list/plans for the gun and the grenades too! I'm thinking of building one that will shoot airsoft grenades, hmmm...
Very nice build!!
Honestly, I could not have built this when I was 12. But I didn't have access to a scroll saw and belt/disc sander either, which is how I made all the parts. The hardest part was figuring out how to make everything work and fit together from just photos, which is why I don't have schematics for many of the pieces. They were constantly being remade as needed. But I say give it a shot. This is about the 8th replica gun I've made and I learn something with each one. And as far as actual number and complexity of parts, this isn't that bad. And there are lots of great reference photos. The ones I used came from here: M79. Good luck with it.Thanks Dude,is it too complicated?,because im 12 and i love movie props.
That's an awesome launcher. Do you by any chance have measurements for the wood pieces? Also what size PVC tube do you use for the barrel?Well, I've been on here 1 year this week and figured to celebrate I'd post my first build with pics. Everything else I've posted was already finished and didn't have WIP pics. Although there are only a few (I'm bad about taking pics when I work), it kinda shows where it started and ended. Well, almost ended. I started getting rushed toward the end and started cutting corners. After getting these pics set up, I realize how I don't like numerous parts and will be going back to correct them. I still have to do the trigger guard portion also.
This is the M79 Grenade launcher, made popular during the Vietnam war. It is one of the props I'm working on for my Vietnam zombie gig I'm doing for D*Con 2011 (from the one off comic, '68').

Finally got around to getting some pics of the flask ability of the grenades. As you will see though, the capacity is a little on the small side-2 partial shots (or 1 full to the brim, but no one likes to drink alone!) so I'm working on expanding them a bit while still keeping them semi-accurate. A bandolier of these will come in real handy at the cons.
Thanks. refer back to post #42 for the parts schematics. If you copy the image and enlarge it 148%, it should be actual size. The stock is 12.5" x 5" and the foregrip is 6" x 1.125". The barrel is 2" PVC. Good Luck!
122%? I thought most copiers go to at least 150%. You could either blow it up twice (use a proportion wheel helps get the correct percentage) or take it to a copy shop and see if they can go larger. I figured it needs to blow up 147.8% to be full size.Do you have a suggestion for enlarging the images. I printed up a copy of the images and tried to use my copy machine to enlarge the image, but it only goes up to 122%.

I wish! No, they're all strictly props. A few of them function as flasks, but that's about it.stupid question from a newbie, is any of this stuff operational? i ask because it looks like it is and that is COOOOOLL!
It's the smell, man. The smell.I just love the taste of napalm in the morning!
