ok, ok, ok, I can't stop looking at the new and improved V4. So I just purchased one myself. I'll do a comparison video of the two (G1, G2) once it comes in.

Your not going to be disappointed, these are freak’n awesome!

I like that the new G2 is more TFA/TLJ based. The improvements to the emitter and control box alone were nicely done. I love the Hero from ROTJ but I have a few of those already and wanted something that was more dedicated to the new trilogy. The G1 gave us something in the middle (which is a good thing to have options). Really looking forward to getting this!

Does anyone have some suggestions for bringing down the shine a bit? I'd like mine to be a little more worn and for the finish to be a bit duller without going the paint wash route.

I love the copper is already wearing in nicely. Great work, as always, Roman!

0000 steel wool will definitely bring down the shine without having to use chemicals. Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black is fantastic for really giving aluminum that worn-in and used look.

Good lord. That first picture has me totally sold. It looks incredible. One thing I'd kind of like to do is make the black greeblies out of aluminum and then have them anodized black. I'm not sure why it would really matter, but I think it'd be kind of neat.

Honestly, I need to get this saber. Very nice display card as well! Excellent job on that!

I stripped mine down, Did a little machine work to it, then aged with with a14.

The copper parts I dipped in brass Ager (not thinking) while it was sitting in the clear plastic bowl I noticed it wasn’t aging. Then said “halliwax you idiot that’s copper not brass” when I took the parts out the second the parts hit the oxygen they turned this color instantly

(At this time I forgot to strip the paint on the edge of windvane below the copper)

Before I discovered this chemical I used to age my aluminum with oven clean

On the left is oven clean, vs my Yuma saber aged with a14 on right
