Limited Run Luke V2 liightsaber (Second Run) Sign up thread

I stopped by the hardware store and picked up the set screw for the mystery chunk, shaft collar, and can of Rust-oleum satin black spray paint. Just need the clamp now. Ordered mine with Roman's early Graflex pre-orders so will probably be end of June at least.

So set screws are included in the first batch shipped or not? Or will be shipoed after? Sorry but English is not my.mother language and I get lost sometimes.

Thanks!

Anyone else having problems getting the bearing to sit straight? It seems like mine is a bit off center.

If anyone gets a part that is damaged, contact me intermediately and I will replace it. Please don't think you have to live with it, and please don't try and fix the mistake. I will replace the part and contact the shop.

A+ service right here!

Dan any idea's on if the hole that the bearing goes into is off center? Im going to see if i can find a slightly smaller bearing that will allow the rod to go through straight. I made sure the bearing is pushed in level, it is.

Shouldn't be, everything was CNC machined, so the parts shouldn't have much in the way of variance. Is there any damage to the bearing?

I think because of how tight the tolerances are the bearing/rod can easily get off center when pushed up, had the same issue with mine but I got it worked out.

My came in today! Pieces look amazing! there are a few issues with fit but nothing that cant be easily fixed.

- the bearing was was supper tight on the center pole ( not necessarily a bad thing)

- The pommel doesn't fit in the main body ( its not by a lot so I'm just gonna use my dremel to sand the inside of the body lightly and evenly. this should make it just fine)

- and although not in this kit, the sleeve (ring) that was sold with the mystery square to hold the center pole does not fit the pole. However the piece will not be necessary due to how tight the bearing is on it. I literally had to hammer the bearing in to place.

Like I said nothing that cant be adjusted.

The kit looks amazing and I cant wait to get my stencils in the mail and finish this beauty.

By the way- does anyone have a picture or a way to accurately drill for the mystery square? I know its close to the side cone but would love to get an accurate placement.

Pictures as soon as I'm done.

I definately thought it was something I was doing rather then the CNC being off. I'm headed to Homedepot to see if they have any AS Luke V2 bearing pushers (wooden dowel). Thank you for the suggestion.

I was trying to figure out the same thing. It's not clear on the "blueprints" that Roy has at his website. I guess the most important thing is the orientation to the d-ring as the pommel can rotate.

Not putting a mystery chink on mine, might even paint it like the ROTJ Hero and then later add black over it and do the weathering.

:thumbsup

I sent 2 pictures of my damaged emitter to your AOL email with all of my info.

Let me know if you didn't get it.

Thanks,

Scott

I tried using a wooden dowel to make sure the bearing isnt crooked or anything. The rod is still cambered, and if attached to the bearing can only go sar far until the friction stops it. If you look at this pic you will see one lip of the inner collar of the bearing and how off centered it is. Any suggestions?
